Just think of all of the damage these parents are doing. “Revealing” a gender when the child will probably opt for some other gender later in life.

I’m thinking about the unborn child.
It is tested, and the gender revealed.
Then the unborn child changes its gender.
So parents to be need to be testing every few weeks, in case.
We were told after sonograms that our first two daughters were boys. I guess it is good we didn’t have one of these parties.
I personally think its bad luck to “celebrate” your baby before it is born alive and healthy. A baby shower is fine, but at some point you are just tempting fate.
LOL. When I saw the title of the thread, my first thought was that “gender reveal” was indeed some teenager revealing they had a new gender (or genders).
Just shows how nuts things have become.
To sex a chicken, you grab their feet and hang them upside down. If they flail and carry on, it’s a male. Truth.

Gender reveals are sometimes sneered at for reinforcing a gender binary,Liberals opposes these for the above reason. But also invoke this for good measure:

Certainly they have some kind of mental issues.
I though gen-z/millennials were all for “fluid” gender ID, so why have a party?
