New Jersey Nursing Homes Slammed by COVID Surge as COVID Deaths Rise Across the US

As COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths continue to rise, facilities that care for the elderly are being hit especially hard.

In the last week, one out of every four nursing homes or assisted living facilities in New Jersey has reported a COVID outbreak, according to official state data. Among the 615 nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the state, there are currently 158 active outbreaks affecting 534 employees and more than 1,300 residents.

However, New Jersey is far from the only state inflicted with rising COVID counts. Across the United States, COVID-related hospitalizations have risen week over week since mid-July. Last week, hospitalizations rose by 19%, while deaths increased by nearly 18%.

Mask mandates have also started to reemerge at some schools, hospitals and businesses across the U.S. as well.

Despite this, neither health experts nor government officials have signaled that widespread mandates will make a return.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said that mask requirements are not expected to be needed again, at least not any time soon. Similarly, the Transportation Security Administration recently shot down rumors that they had briefed their managers in preparation of reinstating masking policies; a spokesperson for the administration denied the claims to the Associated Press.

Although it does not appear as though widespread COVID mandates will be making a return any time soon, health experts still recommend that members of vulnerable populations, such as the elderly and immunocompromised, and those who care for them practice caution during this time. Many have suggested that this group mask up in public places and also consider getting the updated COVID boosters when they become available later in the fall.

Yes, GASLIGHTING.

The public was told
> ‘safe & effective’,
> prevents contracting covid / prevents infection
> prevents spreading covid / infection
> prevents severe infection
> prevents hospitalization
> prevents death

and this article fails to mention the word ‘vaccine’ even ONCE.

This is 2020 propaganda redux arrogantly ignoring the prior 2 years of garbage we were told about the effectiveness of ‘masking’, isolation (lockdowns) and the so-called ‘vaccine’.

GASLIGHTING.

If people want to self-isolate, so be it, but I’ll be damned if people fraudulently pushing fear porn on the public to interfere with my life once again is going to happen without violent pushback. This article is nothing but fear porn.

GASLIGHTING.

a nation that hates whatever is left of our Judeo Christian foundations and the objective truth that lies within our older people.... liberals hate old time God Fearing people. they hate the old who are often right... and the old experienced RIGHT thinking, experienced “old people” stand in their way to demonic utopia. Sure Covid is consistantly reengineered to infect and kill old people... that is the goal of it.

replacement with younger, stupider “anti patriots, anti Christ, anti truth” moldable morons.... that is what they THINK they are doing... being fools themselves: they actuall y believe that if they elimate objective facts, observable and historic truths are erased their fantasy utopia would be possible.

it isn’t.
so killing the old people won’t make leftest dreams come true because liberal so called truth and the objective reality of facts... cannot exist together in any construct. They know this.

those who do not learn from history will unavoidably repeat its worst features, and will do so to their own demise and the demise of any who dare to foolishly follow them.

lather rinse repeat, its not just for shampoo anymore. now is part of our “repeat” cycle. Covid is the rinse and spin cycle within our societal social utopian washing machine

the only way to fix the broken washing machine sometimes, is to unplug the damned thing... and then disconnect the plumbing lines cutting it off from ever functioning again by calling the junk dealer who will then tear it apart and scrap all of its components... and bury they leftovers.

Quote: “Drop by my house and have a chat with my lovely wife—the critical care RN. Her facility is so full of covid they are placing people in the ER because of the lack of space.”

1. I doubt the veracity of your heresay story.

2. As others have said, what state, what is the facility?

3. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and believe that your wife is a nurse, did say this to you and, even if a nurse, works in the facilities you claim. I ask: Is she honest? How do you know she isn’t lying to you or exaggerating? What are her political leanings?

4. Out of space? Have you tried between your ears? Because if you buy this Covid crap again, after all the information and science that have come out to debunk what we were told the first time, you have some intellectual issues.

Gaslighting???

What do you expect of the elderly society whose immune systems have been weakened by a systemic compromising of their God given ability to fight viruses?

What do you expect when government con artists place fear into the minds of people by mandating untested vaccines?

What do you expect when corrupt big pharma and equally corrupt government agencies place big profits over the sanctity of life?

What do you expect when corrupt government agencies control state media, and collude with big tech to silence any alternative findings?

Is it any wonder that they have even infiltrated the ranks of conservative forums and regurgitate their agenda driven population control devices?

So, if I get this disease and it kills me, then I don’t have to live in Biden’s miserable sh&thole? Seems like a win/win.

How many of them are elderly? Covid is deadly to the elderly. That's why it was a mistake to lockdown back in 2020. Most of the American population was not vulnerable, just the elderly and cancer patients. That's about it.

Yep- it was all so crooked and deceitful. Ivermectin wasn’t anywhere near as dangerous as remdesivir, infact it is extremely safe, even much juch safer than Tylenol, yet the lying scum pushing remdesivir claimed that ivermectin was “too dangerous to take”, and banned people from getting it. They flat out lied through their teeth about ivermectin and also about HCQ- another extremely safe medicine used by millions and millions for many decades before the plandemic, yet again, the lying scum claimed it was too dangerous for use by folks

“The outbreak was that one aide reported they tested positive at home.”

Lol.

The test could have been a false positive—or positive for a similar illness...

Nobody is allowed to panic until I say so!

;-)

Seems a little premature. We don’t vote for another year.

That's when the "Climate Emergency" goes into effect. Can't drive to go vote, so mandatory mail-in ballots.

Not. Buying. It. This time around we have Paxlovid. There is no reason for anyone to end up in the hospital for covid except medical neglect.

I know, I don’t know how anybody can trust the doctor nowadays. They were either complicit or idiots. Either way that doesn’t give me confidence in the whole lot of them.

I do not believe you.

During the last "Peak COVID", our area hospitals had drastically reduced patient loads and reduced staffing accordingly. People cancelled or could not get practitioners to do any kind of elective surgery, or even some medically required surgery.

An EMT who writes about such things tells me that right now about 15% of patients brought to the ER test positive for COVID. Yes, that is an increase from rates last spring. But they are not stacking them in the hallways or overflowing into other areas.

It is the start of Flu season. That means more COVID too.

The COVID patients mostly get sent home. They get Paxlovid. If they are showing some respiratory problems, they get oxygen and albuterol, maybe some antibiotics, and maybe some steroids. They don't keep them in the hospital.

This was my most recent experience with some family members. Your mileage may vary.

---- You wrote to devane617 -- "OK. Give us your address. Better yet, why not just give us the address of her “facility” and we'll check it out for ourselves. What is a “facility” anyway? Hospital, nursing home, hospice care?"

I check into this thread about an hour after you posed your question(s) to devane617, looking forward to see a response which would at least include the name of the facility. So far, zip.

I am making a note to check back late in the day to see if said "facility" was named, given that no facility name would endanger the anonymity of a Freeper.

Thanks for your simple and elegant question.

I agree. I also I know that there are people just like us.

I have no trust in them anymore. I did find a male nurse at a hospital I went to before last Christmas who came in the room and told me “you have covid per the test but my mother had it about the same as you. He said you don’t want to be here because they take you upstairs and give you a bunch of stuff you don’t need. There was a female ER doctor and this guy together who got me a couple prescriptions and some instructions and had me out of there in less than 10 minutes.

When I got there, I wondered why this guy kept looking at me. I found out. It was odd because I was out of there before the original people who looked at me ever came back.

There it is - out of nowhere. Also, recently, out of nowhere “they” were developing a vaccine for a supposed yet unknown/invented disease X.

It is the start of a new school year so a lot of whatever is going around right now is probably from kids bringing in bugs from all over. Schools will have another round of bugs after Christmas break and another after Spring Break.

“So far, zip.”

Indeed. I suspect that is because he belongs to the Church of Covidian Paranoia and his comment is a lie.

It is both frustrating and infuriating that there are so many people that willinglybpromote Covid as a deadly disease not because they believe it is true but because they WANT it to be true.

SMDH.
