Through (seventy)-six years of perpetual motion
If he likes you he’ll smile then he’ll say
Jimmy, some of it’s magic, some of it’s tragic
But I had a good life all the way.
There will never be another Jimmy Buffet. RIP. You’re in margaritaville now.
Loved his music but He gave $ to Hillary. I’ll never understand how someone who built such an empire can be stupid enough to give $ to someone who wants to take it away
He was an entertainer.
Good music but a flaming leftist. Good riddance.
RIP.
My only memory of him is when he got tossed from a Christmas NBA game in Miami.
RIP, Jimmy.
I guess I know what I will be listening to over the weekend. The artist that Nashville rejected, then tried to copy. Tough loss, but now he’s incommunicado...
We are all only a breathe away from that event, and one never knows when that last breathe will occur. I hope he is resting in peace with the Lord.
Meanwhile, Willie Nelson (90!) lights up one more ‘prescription’ Doobie before breakfast.
Good musician but a flaming leftist. For the former I’ll miss him, for the latter, I won’t.
Jimmy Buffett was a big deal in Cincinnati, Ohio. He usually had a concert there on an annual basis and a huge number of Parrot Heads always showed up. We lived a short distance from the outdoor Riverbend Concert venue where he held his show and could hear the music in the distance.
Now he’s enjoying cheeseburgers in paradise
RIP great entertainer
My family went to his concerts every year for at least 20 years. I went to one of them four years ago and really enjoyed it and I have liked several of his songs.
During the concert he had to open his mouth and denigrate the USA and Capitalism so I never went back.
My wife read his obit this morning and his net worth was north of $550 million. He made over half a billion dollars and has the hypocrisy, ungratefulness, temerity, and stupidity to tell people enjoying his music who paid big bucks for the tickets that the system that made him extremely wealthy stinks.
I’ll still listen to his older albums that I own but will not shed a tear.
Isn’t it amazing how many free-market-hating socialists live in opulence and die RICH?
Damn all my favorites are dying off. I guess when you (meaning me) get to be 72 that should be expected. RIP Jimmy. Enjoy your eternity in Margaritaville where it’s always 5 o’clock.
One of my all time favorite.
Sad to hear about his passing. He’s in rock-n-roll heaven joining that “hell of a band”.
RIP
Nice tunes, even nicer Aloha shirts.
