I bet he can be impeached and convicted in record time.
The Kentucky legislature can’t call itself into session. They proposed an amendment to allow them to do so in response to Beshear enacting many regulations during COVID so they could review these things, but the voters struck it down.
There are no laws. It’s 2023. There is only Power.
“Winning the 2023 governor’s race...would make this moot.”
I agree, considering the state is 60-40 GOP (or close enough), I suspect that many Conservative voters sat out the 2023 race because the GOP candidate wasn’t ‘pure enough’ for them. So, to them, I guess, they were ‘making a statement’ - to the Democrats, they were a DREAM COME TRUE!
the law stands....he can’t do as he pleases...this article is just a blog,,,
They are going full in to take over the country. They have to have it all done to neutralize the next President.
It’s Andy Beshear. I sure wouldn’t bet on that.
The governor is smart enough to know if it will hurt him. Election is 2 months away. Pick a fight where he could lose in November?
He’s not that brave I don’t think.

.............
They already have. Just hoping for a miracle. Hatred for conservative Republicans is now mainstream.
Republicans hold office.
Democrats hold power.
KY GOP must have nominated a Monster from the Dismal Swamp in order to elect this...Dimocrap as their Governor.
If the Governor can ignore the law and appoint a Rat and say go ahead and sue me because by the time the case is actually heard it will be moot.
Then the Rs should do the same by calling themselves into session and impeach / remove him from office ignoring that they cannot call themselves into session.
The Turtle isn’t stepping down in the next 8 weeks. If Beshear is re-elected, he WILL defy the law and appoint a Rat.
I wouldn’t put it past the Turtle to wait until he finds out if Beshear does retain office and THEN reigns, in order for Beshear to defy the law. Anything to help the Rats.
The GOP may be strong BUT the Unions and the Kentucky media are stronger as they proved getting lil Andy elected.
Very well said. Ain’t it the truth.
If the prick breaks the law, hopefully some right minded Kentucky County prosecutor will charge and arrest him. After all, if that tin horn porker in Fulton Co. GA can do it to a former president and current presidential candidate, surely it can been done to the low life dem governor.
The governor will appoint whichever Republican he has the most dirt on and then the governor will run for the seat and use that dirt in the campaign.
Beshear appears to be cruising over Cameron, so he might be emboldened to force the issue. If the Turtle stepped down, Schumer would seat a democrat appointed by Beshear. The federal courts would likely stay out of it due to senate rules and delegation of powers.
The Republican was the incumbent. He managed to belittle and diminish every teacher in the state, allowing Beshear to squeak out a victory.
