ransomnote: The first video was recorded outside the restricted zone. The video features a car on the shoulder of the road supposedly burned from the nearby grassfire (car is essentially melted except for steel frame - steering colum, steering wheel, glass etc.) with most of the terrain surrounding it intact. I put several still images taken from the video below for those who don't want to watch it.

Just a few notes:
Police forbid access to the fire locations and tell people outside the restricted zone not to take pictures (from roadside - facing into the zone).

Near the bottom of this post I put the link to a second video taken inside the restricted zone. That video features 2 cars, essentially melted except for steel framing. They are surrounded by untouched property, houses etc.

(Note that the second video is linked near the bottom and images from the 2018 Paradise fire have been liked at the end of this post)

Internet searches indicate average temperature of grass fires ranges from around 300 degrees farenheit up to 700 degres Farenheit(F).

Automotive glass melts at 2552°F to 2912°F

Steel melts at 2700°F

Aluminum melts at  1220°F

Cast Iron melts at  2200°F

Above images are from the first 8 minutes of the recording.

The police arrived at around the 23 minute mark and told the men to leave, talked with the men a little, and then escorting the walking men back to their cars by following in a patrol car. Two more patrol cars can be seen arriving in the background. At the 34 minute mark, the person featured in the video closes the recording with a prayer that the information reaches the public. He encourages people to help by donating to those impacted.

I suppose the front grill is more likely. The car had probably been driven up the hill on that bypass road escaping the fire, directly into the downslope whole gale winds, with wood embers (900°F - 1650°F) and ash flying all about. The ash and embers lodged into the grill, likely plastic, and continued producing plenty of heat due to the stoking by the wind. Hard plastics ignition temperature is 416°F to 580°F. The grill ignited and eventually the flames were driven to ignite either an oily surface of the engine or the hoses or wires, or the boots around the shocks, or all of these. The smoke or flames forced the driver to stop, who was fortunately safely away from the worst of the fire by then. Being Hawaii, someone else, seeing the car's occupants near the burning car, probably stopped and gave them a ride.

The flames spread to the tires. Tires burn; I wouldn't call it extreme heat that's necessary to start vulcanized rubber on fire. Flame temperatures, especially when wind blown, are easily in the 800°F - 900°F range to do this. Once the tires were on fire, they would generate all the heat necessary to decompose or melt the non-ferrous metal alloys of the wheels & engine.

No.I don't believe that this fire is 'normal.' Your scenario requires a series of unlikely events and does not provide enough fuel to burn a car hot enough and long enough to convert it into to ash.

The aluminum entire roof rack crumbles like dust - no matter how hot the roof of the car got, I don't believe it could burn the entire roof rack, not just the attachment points to dust.

If you put butter in a frying pan it doesn't uniformly convert to liquid, the edges melt first and it takes awhile. In the car fire, that lower temperature burn would consume fuel so at by the time the fire was at it's hottest there's not enough fuel left to melt the car and turn exterior features like the spare wheel to dust. Tires burn but as I posted elsewhere, they are not considered flammable.

I did not title the video - I had to use the original video's title. I don't think this has to be D.E.W. but I think this burn requires technology, not embers. I don't believe the scenarios wherein a grass fire vaporizes the spare tire bolted to the back of the vehicle, let alone all 4 tires. Everything done to a crisp. Not enough fuel, not hot enough, not long enough.

The second link at the bottom of my thread post shows equally unlikely pictures from the Paradise California fire- which was a forest fires that only burned houses down to the foundation slab (turned toilets and other porcelain to dust) but left all the greenery surrounding the houses intact. Seems like the public should find out what it is.

Embers fly for miles and start fires. Plenty of fuel for the fire in a car. Radiated heat also starts fires. Many homes are lost due to this as the heat sets curtains and furniture and paint etc on fire.

I saw one Lahaina fire video of a couple who said they were driving around trying too breach the road blocks. They pulled into the Safeway parking lot and were told by occupants of another car that their car was on fire. They didn't know. The other people let them come into their car for safety. I don't remember if they weathered out the whole fire in that parking lot but the Safeway didn't burn.

The video that accompanied this telling also included a shot of a car driving along the edge of this parking lot which had it's roof on fire. I have no good explanation for that, but something on their roof was making flames - maybe they'd driven under a fallen/burning tree and snagged a branch. I appreciate that the title was not yours, and you're not saying DEW, but nonetheless a War of the Worlds evoking scenario of ray weapons is too far fetched for me. The political incompetence (religious water bureaucracy, old overburdened power poles, unchecked brush undergrowth, etc.) and government's paternalistic reflex (we know best which routes to channel you into) of this disaster are more disturbing issues than speculating about nefarious sources of otherwise explainable car fires.

The coming continued control reflex of government is going to be the kill-shot to Lahaina ever being what it was. They can't help it. They're in a position of authority; the elites are going to brainstorm for new rules and regulations to the point that the old residents (not wealthy in general) are going to be pushed down the road to other parts of the island. The somewhat bohemian whaling village of Lahaina will exist only in the trinkets sold in the gift shops.

I watched while the MSM paved over the Camp Fire (Paradise CA) and abnormal/impossible fire patterns have since been instituted - to question the details that don’t add up is considered ‘wrong’ so now we have more and people point to the precedent, “If that (freakish) fire was ‘normal’ than any and all abnormal fires are normal.”
The second video shows two cars equally toasted in a parking area with houses surrounding it on all sides but the houses and greenery are untouched, and the cars are melted. IN fact, the burn pattern in that second video is literally square - it neatly borders the sidewalk, makes a 90 degree angle and forms a squared burn pattern. NATURAL! Not.

I don’t buy the scenarios - sometimes an unnatural burn is not natural.

ransomnote: Steel, glass, tires and aluminum are not curtains/furniture/paint etc. No matter how the fire started, it didn't have radiant heat to vaporize the tires when it was driving on the road. The tires had to burn 100% down to dust and radial steel belts while parked without a nearby source of radiant heat. The car is in a gravel parking lot. The nearest grass 10-15 feet away is not right beside the car and it's short grass - not enough fuel.

There is absolutely nothing unusual about cars and trucks burning to a crisp like that in the pic. That’s what they do. Every time, once they get going it’s all over.

Car tires especially are problematic. Once a tire is burning, forget it. Virtually impossible to extinguish even with a fire truck probably. Aluminium and associated alloys melt at around 1500° F. nothing unusual there either.

There’s also 5 quarts of petroleum oil in the engine, maybe 20 gallons of gasoline, lots plastics, foam, rubber, caked on grease, fabric.

Everyone needs to stay “Laser Focused” on the jaw dropping ineptitude of the authorities to this atrocity, instead of trying to blame outer space aliens or shadowy government groups.

Much of your car is flammable, it doesn’t need to be engulfed in flames to catch.. all it needs is a little bit of fire in the right place for a brief period of time and you vehicle is a bonfire..

The focus can't be on the crimial incompetence of the Democrat platation that has completely controlled all aspects of Hawaiin government for decades.  Nope, it's all about how the fire was "unnatural", and how "fire has never before melted a car", despite the evidence of our own eyes (I still have a small droplet of melted glass from my neighbor's car that was reduced to a condition similar to this car in a California wildfire in 1994).

Here's a thought experiment: if the Ransomnote account was simply a deep-state CIA directed bot spreading confusion and nonsense in what way would its postings differ from the current example?  If the aim was to deflect blame from the Democrat machine, what different material would it be posting?

That's crazy conspiracy talk though.  It's much more likely that the account is sincere, and merely delusional, but it's impossible to tell the difference just by reading the record.
