I don’t drink much of anything but when I do it’s a nice merlot. However, ones blood pressure rises after wine, so I mostly stay away. The resveratrol in red wine is good for the heart but blood pressure rise isn’t. I buy resveratrol capsules instead of drinking the stuff.
No fun!

“Red Wine” covers so many different wines that it should be subdivided. Maybe even made into a “Red Wine Week”.
Ruby Port poached pears, Sangria, Beef Bourguignon, the recipes for red wine are voluminous. An ordinary grocery store has so many red wine labels that it’s downright confusing.

My daughter and Son-in-Law are members of several wineries in the Napa-Somoma area - makes for a great day to visit and taste different wines.
Unfortunately, last time we went to four wineries in one day, which was far too many - by the last winery, I couldn’t taste a thing. I told them next time we go, one or two wineries is enough.
Can’t wait to go back - two of the wineries are dog-friendly and I told my family I’d like to go to those with the dogs.

(Or it was so the last time I bought it anyway...)
