Remember that guy who threw a bunch of stuff at the bubble protecting his Ferrari?
*********************************************************
Watching this guy throw stuff at the plastic bubble protecting his Ferrari is remarkably cathartic. Okay, apparently there is such a thing as a Car Capsule, which appears to be a nigh impenetrable car cover designed to keep your expensive collector's car from getting damaged.
*********************************************************
Well, the car's gone now.
Here's what happened.
He decided to drive the $400,000 car through a dry cornfield at top speed to make an epic video, but then cornhusks start to build up inside the wheel wells and friction caught them on fire.
Then, because you can't put out a cornhusk fire with a can of Red Bull, the fire spread to his rental van and burned up all his equipment too.
Watch him literally burn up $500,000 in vehicles and equipment.
[Warning: Lots and lots of mostly censored language]
VIDEO AT LINK..............
On the upside, the video has gone viral and racked up millions of views, so he'll probably make his money back in shared advertising.
(This guy is known for wrecking cars for money, after all.)
That's the internet for you.
This is why MY insurance rates go up.
You drive ultra-expensive Italian sports cars in dry corn fields?................
His insurance will cover his loss. The way insurance works is they set rates based on premiums in and claims paid out and risk. So when this guy gets money from his insurance company for a total loss, anyone with car insurance suffers.
I watch videos but have no sound.
Other FReepers tell me he said he has no insurance...........
A quote during the early part of the Manhattan Project:
Enrico Fermi told Louis Slotin he would be “dead within a year” if he continued to flout the safety protocols.
He was dead within a year.
Some Youtubers are setting themselves up for the same fate.
One word you don’t ever want to hear in a nuclear research lab:
OOPS!................
He is a millionaire so can afford the loss.
His videos get millions of hits.
In the past he has set on fire a firetruck.
His other videos show he deliberately destroys vehicles.

I remember when catalytic converters came out, there were lots of grass fires. So, to clean the air, we start fires.
Govt. intelligence.
When the good Lord was passing out brains this dude thought he said rain
and took shelter.
Could be, I never heard of anyone with a car like that w/o insurance.
There must have been 100’s of cats piled up behind Danny’s Muffler shop in Tahlequah,OK. Farmers and ranchers taking new pickups from dealer straight to Danny.
He influenced me. I sure will never drive my Ferrari in a cornfield!
Perhaps catalytic converter thieves are doing their part to fight air pollution.
Same thing with the van. Get out of the cornfield and drive on the road, and perhaps even pull into a station with a water hose or something.
Might have saved the vehicles, but sitting there letting the husks keep burning without any cooling being applied, and it was guaranteed to do what it did.
I think the passenger front wheel of the van caught fire on it's own. I think it's brakes also ignited the corn husks caught in them.
Yes, they do, they are even standard.
But maybe he had removed his from the car and left it at home for whatever reason. In this case, it would be understandable if the insurance company were rather testy…
"LET ME SHOW YOU SOMETHING!"
No insurance...............
What exactly is an “influencer”?
I don’t really feel influenced by what this dude did.
“influencer” is NewSpeak for ‘Idiot with an audience’...............
