Remember that guy who threw a bunch of stuff at the bubble protecting his Ferrari?
*********************************************************
Watching this guy throw stuff at the plastic bubble protecting his Ferrari is remarkably cathartic. Okay, apparently there is such a thing as a Car Capsule, which appears to be a nigh impenetrable car cover designed to keep your expensive collector's car from getting damaged.
*********************************************************
Well, the car's gone now.
Here's what happened.
He decided to drive the $400,000 car through a dry cornfield at top speed to make an epic video, but then cornhusks start to build up inside the wheel wells and friction caught them on fire.
Then, because you can't put out a cornhusk fire with a can of Red Bull, the fire spread to his rental van and burned up all his equipment too.
Watch him literally burn up $500,000 in vehicles and equipment.
[Warning: Lots and lots of mostly censored language]
VIDEO AT LINK..............
On the upside, the video has gone viral and racked up millions of views, so he'll probably make his money back in shared advertising.
(This guy is known for wrecking cars for money, after all.)
That's the internet for you.
That’s why I think it was staged.
Insurance scam...............
A few years back , I watched a guy from New Jersey drive his Escalade out in a field of dry grass about 2’ tall. It was Feb.the ground was soft from winter rains. He got stuck, and started reving the engine.
The grass caught on fire. My friend and I were yelling at him to get out of the car. He finally sees what is happening, and comes running over.
Fire Dept. comes, Deputy Sheriff comes.
The deputy ask why he drove out in a wet field of tall grass.
He said he was in the area to look at land. Drove out in the field, got stuck, and was spinning his tires so fast ,the grass caught on fire.
We were all rolling on the ground laughing at that one.
The grass caught fire probably from the catalytic converter that can get extremely hot............
These are the voters democrats are targeting . . . for obvious reasons.
Started watching the video. The guy seems absolutely ecstatic about the situation, he’s all smiles. Obviously he has money to burn and so going viral on the Internet is the real reward for him here.
I wonder what is insurance will say.
I think he does this stuff all the time.
I know a thing or two about auto policies. Obviously I know nothing about his in particular, but I very much doubt this activity fits in the definition of an insured loss
Climate change.
LMAO PING !!!
He had no insurance.
Lost all that because he's not smart enough to bring a fire extinguisher.
In 1975, when catalytic converters were a new thing, I saw someone drive a new Ford pickup through an area of dry cheat grass and start several spot fires. We put them out before they could spread, but it would have been different if there had been any wind that day.
I don’t park my pickup in dry grass, and I take a good look underneath before leaving it if I’ve been driving in tall grass. Several times I have had to fish smoldering bits of vegetation out of the catalytic converter guard. I’m surprised more vehicles don’t get burned up that way.
He said he has no insurance.
Quite a few years ago the town down the road use to have a policy in the fall that residents could rake their leaves to the side of the road and they would collect them. One kid parked his 1967 mustang under a pile of them. Same results.
outstanding!!!
dint deserve it in the first place...
Wow you read the whole article.
Back in college at Texas A&M, every one participated in cutting down the trees for the bonfire(pre-accident). One cars catalytic converter caught the tall grass on fire and burned the car to a crisp. At least it was a cheap Chevy Citation. Ever since then I’ve avoided driving in tall vegetation.
Ferrari doesn’t supply one as an accessory?................🤦♂️🤷♂️😜
I watched but with no sound....................
Influencers and their money are soon parted. That’s a lot of clicks…
