“I got along with everyone,” Curtin told People in a new interview.
“But I did have problems with John,” the funny woman added. “But that was because John wasn’t John. He was an addict.”
Belushi’s drug problem plagued his short life and career and he died via an overdose from a speedball mix of heroin and cocaine. Original “SNL” cast member Chevy Chase revealed last year that the “Blues Brothers” star’s addiction was so severe that he stole Chase’s own stash of cocaine.

Improved.
What I mean is you are not dealing with a human being when they are in their addiction, using/drinking. Can’t trust them at all. They don’t see you as a human being.
He plays the hapless, dead end career in food additives, lame Dad role perfectly.
Addicts are monsters when they are on a binge.
Thornton Melon’s Tall and Fat - If you want to look thin, hang out with fat people.
Lou Costello.
In Belushi biography the author states that the folks who had to make sure Belushi was off drugs had him sparring with Bill super foot Wallace to keep him physically engaged. They also hired ex Secret Service guy to make sure no one slipped him cocaine. Weren’t completely successful.
He was so popular ..leading actor in movies, successful TV show, successful music act...add obsessive chemical psychotropic use...recipe for total disaster. His popularity and demands of being a “star” was way too much for his life experience and coping abilities to handle.
Remember when LSD was used to expand ones consciousness?
Cocaine and smack was used to relax and chill...? Popularized by music culture and Hollywood during that time...thanks “counter culture, hollywood zombies”
Good one!
Johnathan Winters.
Jane, the ignorant slut.
“So severe he stole Chase’s stash of cocaine...”
It’s suppose to be funny right? I mean, this is Chase’s method of communication is that he speaks in irony all the time. That’s what makes him funny and unpopular at the same time. This is how he thinks and that’s what comes out in his speech and his scripts and his movies. He uses ironic statements to illustrate what he’s trying to say as if it were an allegory. He says “his addiction was so severe that he even stole my stash”. That’s an irony and that’s his schtick.
It’s like he’s compensating for a weird type of undiagnosed tourettes syndrome. But nobody sees that, they just think he’s a dick. And that could be true too.
Jane was the only original cast member of SNL from the 70’s, who did NOT do drugs, recreationally or otherwise.
He is an appallingly disgusting and vocal Leftist. I find listening to him nauseating.
This line comes to mind:
“It’s always something.”
John Belushi’s brother Jim grows marijuana on 93 acres up in Oregon.
I guess he wants other people to have miserable short lives like his brother.
Grows $500,000+ of the deadly weed.

Indeed. Never thought he was funny.
I got sober off the booze 33 years ago. My worst day sober has always been a thousand time better than my best day drunk.
Don’t know how I missed him. He was awesome!
