Pet lovers, my 11 year old pug started showing first symptoms 2 weeks ago and was diagnosed last week with metatstic lung cancer. Desperate to find veterinary oncologists. Most have no appointments until mid-September. Finally got appointment for Thursday. He's in very rough shape. I'm praying often for healing. Anybody who has been through this kind of thing knows how devastating it is. Any help is appreciated.
Prayers
Lymphoma got my 11 year old Kelly last summer. She was loving to the end. We put her down so her suffering was over. Not an easy thing to do, but it was for the best. Two beautiful loving dogs in 10 years My prayers for your friend. We have a new friend Khloe who was the subject of a prayer request here in January and our prayers were answered. Hoping for the best for you.
Prayers up and continuing for your little pal and you.
A little boy called the local Catholic radio station.
Boy: Fr. Rockey, do dogs go to heaven?
Answer: Only good dogs go to heaven.
Meaning our Merciful and Loving God wants us to be happy in the after life.
I’ll keep your dog in my prayers.
VT, I lost my precious Lucy to lymphoma on July 8. After diagnosis, prednisone gave us seven glorious weeks together. Bonemaker, Lucy and her predecessor were with me for a total of 29 years. It’s crushing and I’m so sorry. Do you have any capability of making videos? Here’s Lucy’s and there are tons of dog memorial videos on YouTube. They’re so sad but they bring comfort. She’s closing in on 800 views in six weeks and it brings me comfort that a little bit of the joy she brought me lives in in people viewing the film

Right there with you. Our Carolina Cur, who has been a part of our family for 9 years, was just diagnosed with liver cancer.
Very sad times.... I am so sorry for your pup.
Look up Panacur C. (Fenbendazole), a dewormer for dogs that is being found to cure cancer.
My wife and I recently went through this with our beloved terrier mix of 18yrs.
Let him go and find peace.
It’s about him, not you.
Prayers up for you and your pup.
I’m there now as Hrafi has developed a second bone tumor in his shoulder, same side as the leg amp.
Likely in his lungs by now because that’s how the demons of osteosarcoma roll.
He is literally all I have left in the world so honestly I’d be happy to step off after he does.
Palladia is the oral chemo of choice for lung Mets.
God bless and have mercy on you both.
Love them with all the love you can find in your heart .
Sooth their fears they will know it’s coming from you.
Do not hold them on for too long let them go before they
Suffer , keep their name on your lips and they will never be far from your heart. 🦴🕉️
Here’s hoping for the best possible outcome for your beloved pug. All the pet lovers here have lost pets, I have no doubt, myself included. So we understand the horror you and your little buddy are going through. I really hope they can blast that cancer into oblivion, that you and your dog can have a few more years.
Prayers up for you and your beloved pup!
I know the feeling. You and he have my prayers tonight.
I am so sorry to hear about your beloved fur baby. You both are in my prayers. Having had many fur babies over the years I have been down this road many times. It never gets easier, the best advice I can offer is to stop your pets suffering. Pray that God will heal or call them home. God Bless You Both!
We lost our dog Tibby we had for twelve years in January. He had a large tumor in his sinuses that was pushing on his eye and making it difficult for home to breath. Our vet was very compassionate and helped us make the very hard decision to have him put to sleep. We were with him and petted him as he peacefully passed.
That night as my wife and I were up late in our grief we both heard a single soft bark. We were both convinced it was Tibby’s distinctive bark. Late the next night my wife heard two barks that seemed to come from outside. She turned on the porch light and saw nothing nor were there any tracks in the new fallen snow. The following weekend my wife traveled to meet with friends for a post holiday get together. At the hotel when she opened her suitcase there was a single dog treat laying on top of her clothes. We could think of no possible way the treat could have gotten into her suitcase. We are convinced that these strange occurrences were in some way Tibby telling us he was OK.
A few weeks later we adopted a rescue puppy, a lab mix, like Tibby, and again our lives are full of happy barks and the special bond one has with a dog. Prayers for your peace.
Grief is the price of love.
They give us their unconditional love and loyalty.
It's hard to see them grow old and poorly, but that's the commitment we made. Being there at the end is gut-wrenching, but a painless end is our gift to them for all the years of joy they gave us.
So very sorry.
I agree with this. Having lost many beloved animals, I think the most loving thing that we can do is to spare them suffering when it gets really bad.
I tried to deny this once, kept hoping for a miracle, and I’ve always regretted it.
Prayers up.
I’ve lost many pets. It’s better to be early than late if they’re suffering. Hard but true.
Don’t make your precious friend suffer because you are too needy.
Often times the kindest thing you can do is stop the suffering.
Just went through this very thing 2 weeks ago.
They bring us such happiness, don’t force them to needlessly suffer.
