Vitamin K is available in multiple forms across many foods but is best found in Japanese natto, where it’s part of the slimy portion. The form in that is K2-MK7, which lasts much longer in the body than the other forms, K and K2-MK4.
We just take a combo form of the three. Natto is okay, but hard to find and higher in carbs, being fermented soybeans.

I read an article about natto & the photos almost made me gag! It seems to be a very polarizing food.

I should have added: I’m not a picky eater....love all types of food, but I am absolutely not trying natto.

Generally, if you did eat a salad at least 3 times a week, you probably are getting enough Vit K. For a guy, if you were doing the vitamin pill routine....120 mcg is your limit. Women? 90 mcg.
There’s supposed to be some reports to say Vit K improves memory in older adults.

I always love hiw they recommend taking supplements...please don’t add romaine, or chard, or spinach, or kale to you diet, def get it from a pill. :(

I have an artificial heart valve and take warfarin for the last 33 years. Must watch my Vitamin K intake very carefully. No problems yet.

No problems here. Been on warfarin for the last 33 years and must watch my VK intake very close. Get an INR blood test every week.

Natto, being soy-based, is dangerous for people with vulnerability to thyroid illness, which includes many folks of Irish ethnicity.
When I read the list of Vitamin K foods on Wikipedia, I eat 3/4ths of the list regularly, and some daily. It’s hard to imagine anyone being deficient in K, unless they eat nothing but sweet tea and Twinkies.
