The big question remaining for Ukraine in this war is whether or not their subministers and bureaucrats will receive their "fair share." All the ministers, deputy ministers, and legislators have their Swiss villas, Ferraris, and pensions locked in. The next $20 billion package from the US Congress will settle that question.

And that will be a great thing to investigate once this nonsense is over. Will there be some industrious and curious journalists that will track what happens to these people once the Russians have defeated what is left of Ukrainian forces?

It’s going to be real interesting to see these folks living in the villas you’re describing, driving the nice cars, after making peanuts working in Ukraine.

And like so many other things, some of us will just shake our collective heads wondering how so many folks in the USA and here on FR, just clapped like seals supporting this trainwreck that has destroyed so much.

However, it may all backfire on the Ukrainians. The exodus from Kiev is going to be very tricky.

In Afghanistan, the Taliban didn't have the means to destroy Kabul's airport, so everyone could wait until the last minute.

In Ukraine, Russia has the capability to destroy Kiev's airfields and TRAP the Zelensky regime in the capital. And the regime can't evacuate too early, as this would signal surrender and actually accelerate the fall of Kiev.

Another complication is that, due to the presence of significant Russian air defense artillery, the US air force will not provide emergency airlift in Ukraine, like they did Afghanistan.
