George Washington University Law School professor Jonathan Turley has posted at length about the perils of indicting Trump, namely that most of the charges he could face would be protected by the First Amendment, though he added that the temptation to indict Trump in DC—an anti-Trump bastion—might prove “irresistible” for the Justice Department. He was right, along with the free speech concerns, too.

Better money elsewhere.
Did the brilliant news person say what exactly those actions were? As far as I know, Donald Trump left, without being forced, the White House prior to 12 noon on January 20, 2021.
Democrat John Roberts Will turn it down.
Brilliant post. +1
But besides Pence’s statement, there are plenty of Dems who have also publicly questioned the legitimacy of elections and not one of them was charged with anything.
“My question is why Turley and Levin aren’t on team Trump officially?”
They don’t want to be disbarred. A group called the Project 65 has vast dark money (Soros money I think) and is existed to make life difficult for any attorney associated with Trump.
The riot only helped the Democrats. Congress clarifying the role of a VP during the electoral vote count later in 2021 is an admission the role had latitude which means Trump was justified and arguing that point. Then there's Pence comments about "voting irregularities" and "I promise you, come this Wednesday, we will have our day in Congress! We'll hear the objections. We'll hear the evidence.”
And yet Pence punted, the challenges didn't get a fair hearing, there was no commission empaneled to review the arguments, nothing was sent back to the challenged states. The riot provided cover for Pence, Joe & company while the Democrats got their PR victory.
Trump would only get his chance if J6 had stayed orderly.
they couldnt depend on the crowd getting unruly
the capitol was evacuated because of the pipe bombs
the hearing was reconvened under emergency rules
which did not allow for any objections
the fix was in no matter what the crowd did
BKMK
ok...from what i can decipher...they are claiming BECAUSE HE KNEW HE LOST, the legal actions he took after were then made ILLEGAL. How on Earth they can prove HE KNEW HE LOST is beyond me. Cant believe there’s not a Court they can file with to stop this non sense. This is blatant election interference.
Good find.
Pence is a diseased rat.
All they have to do is play the last few moments of Trump’s speech and it all goes away.
If that were the case, their license would still be at risk just for publically defending him.
Unfortunately, BINGO!

There are more than 400 million guns in this country, probably 3/4 of them belong to us. If there was an insurrection believe me they would have known it. Instead, people exercising their right to bring their grievances to their government have been shamed, wrongly incarcerated, and bankrupted by a corrupt government and media.
How many times did we hear....count every vote....sounds identical to the Georgia case to me.
I knew when Trump had the rally day of Congress meeting, that the Dems would use it against Trump. Thus the reason the NG was refused as requested by Capital Police chief by Pelosi and others who are responsible for safe guarding the Capital. It was a total set up. I knew Anitfa, CIA plants would be in the crowd stirring them up. I knew it wouldn’t be peaceful. So many lives ruined on J6.
From the day Trump was President Democrats in droves, along with Hillary said “he didn’t win, must have cheated”. 4 years we heard this, even from Dem Congress members.
all the objections were heard, debated, voted on and dismissed.
Wow, this is EXCELLENT, Political Junkie.
Based on what Pence actually publicly said on January 4th, about how “we will have our Day in Congress on Wednesday” and “hearing the objections” about “election irregularities”.
So yes, you could argue that Pence himself was the one who incited the January 6th “riots”.
Brilliant way of exposing the Pence fraud and a way for Trump’s lawyers to refute Pence’s claims. Even Pence was alarmed at election fraud — he said so two days before January 6th in a public speech.
