Sharon Osbourne has reflected on the uncompromising side-effects of controversial weight-loss drug Ozempic after losing more than 30Ibs while using it over a four month period.
The so-called 'miracle' drug was originally marketed to treat Type-2 diabetes, but has seen a spike in popularity over recent months due to its remarkable impact on weight-loss.
Public figures including actress Amy Schumer and Twitter CEO Elon Musk have previously admitted to using the drug, but Osbourne, 70, says regular use comes with an associated risk.
'It’s different for everybody, but for me, the first few weeks was f***ing s**t because you just throw up all the time. You feel so nauseous,' the former X Factor panellist told the Club Random with Bill Maher podcast.
She added: 'After a couple of weeks, it goes, and then you’re just fine, you feel nothing. Just not hungry.'
While Osbourne avoided naming Ozempic directly, she quipped that it was the "the f***ing injection everybody takes,' prompting host Maher to refer to it as 'The Olympic.'
The TV personality admitted a lifelong struggle with her weight initially led to her the drug, but insisted she is no longer using it.
'Your stomach shrinks, and you change,' she said. 'I've been on it since December, but I came off it a couple of months ago.'
Speaking in May, Osbourne revealed she dropped 30 pounds over the course of four months after using the jabs, but felt nauseous everyday and insisted it was not a 'quick fix'.
During a discussion on US chat show The Talk, the TV personality shared her first-hand experience of the drug, after it was announced that its launch in the UK had been put on pause.

Morning Sickness..................
They ain’t my cup of tea. Not that I don’t enjoy an Ozzy or two, but I don’t have much use for what that era of folks did with drugs and alcohol...killing themselves and messing up their brains. I know rock music was born out of all that, and I do like a lot of that music, but I don’t have much use for people of any stripe that go down that path.
Maybe I spoke too quickly about the wife, but she thought it was quite funny and appropriate a few years back for a man’s genitals to be mutilated. Didn’t think much of her after that.
Trust me, they aren’t “heroes” in my mind. But I can respect the contributions people have made to their profession.
Music, or most of the arts, are full of “weirdos” who create and barracudas who try to make money off of them. She took control and created a brand that contributed to that industry.
Would I model my morals or ethics on them? Not at all.
Be careful if you try it. I used bootleg Victoza (the same drug family) 7 years ago.
The delayed stomach emptying caused severe, anatomy altering constipation. While laying down at night the food sitting in my stomach sometimes traveled up the esophagus without the vomiting urge. Someone could choke if it took more than a second or two to awaken. Often a couple tablespoons came up spontaneously (again, without the urge to vomit).
One ibuprofen must have sat in my stomach for hours, it made me vomit. If by any chance you eat more than you planned, it will make you very sick for hours, often without the urge to vomit.
I lost weight but it was a rough way to do it.
Pucker up for a nice big kiss and then she pukes all over you!
She threw up from it, most people don’t. As with any drug, side effects vary by person. Most people tolerate it very well and it is effective for weight loss.
Think Mama Cass.
“Think Mama Cass.”
If Mama Cass and Karen Carpenter had shared that sandwich, they may both still be here.
Didn’t she listen to the commercials???
I swear, if a RATIONAL human being actually LISTENS to the “possible side-effects”, they wouldn’t go anywhere NEAR these drugs.
I wonder if the TV commercial includes “vomiting” in the list of side effects?
I equivocated some re Sharon Osbourne several weeks ago on this thread. I go back to my original stance and I’ll stand by it now. She’s an idiot.
