A security guard was beaten to death by a mob of at least nine people outside a starry Hollywood nightclub which counts Tyga, Megan Thee Stallion and Wiz Khalifa as fans.
The man in his 30s was beaten and stomped on by the assailants at around 2am Sunday while he was working at the popular Dragonfly club on Santa Monica Boulevard. Cops are still searching for the suspects.
The victim, who has not been identified, is seen lying on the street in video captured from the scene, which showed first responders attempting life-saving measures which ultimately proved unsuccessful.
Once the guard had been punched to the ground and his head stomped on, the group of at least nine quickly dispersed before the victim was rushed to hospital where he later died.
Cops are currently probing the encounter at the hip-hop-heavy bar, which in past has played host to Tyga, 2 Chainz, Migos, Meg Thee Stallion, and Wiz Khalifa.
'The victim was working at this nightclub, and a large group – for unknown reasons – confronted that security guard, causing him to fall into the street,' LAPD West Bureau Homicide Division Detective Samuel Marullo said at the scene Sunday.
'At which time the group advanced and kicked and stomped him to death,' the officer added, revealing the force's investigation was still in the process of determining whether the fight began inside the club and spilled onto the street, or started outside.
Now closed to mourn the loss of their fallen employee, Dragonfly had been full of patrons at the time of the fatal altercation - hosting its weekly Signature Saturdays with Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley headlining the festivities.
According to cops, the encounter happened just as the event was scheduled to finish, around 2am.

All I know about “thee Stallion” is she has legs like one, not very attractive IMO.
Savages. The new normal.
Not a single description of any of the suspects.
