Bad move unfortunately.
San Fran needs a lot of money. Not afraid to get it by code violations even if they hurt no one.

If Musk didn’t take the proper precautions and permits, it’s probably right that San Francisco did this. Don’t need anybody to die because it wasn’t attached properly.

Maybe he should place the X in another state.

Since Musk threw out the FBi embeds, Lindsey Graham has proposed Legislation to start an Disinformation Bureau to Police Twitter and SM companies.
Twitter and Rumbl are obviously the Targets.

There might be a city rule on font-type to be used for ‘X’ use. Roman-style probably on the forbidden list.
To: lowbridge
Rules is rules. Any sign erected
for businesses is usually subject
to rules and regulations of city
codes. Even if they’re temporary.
Why is this even in the news?

I see no problem with inspections. All of the “licensing” and “code” BS is very unnecessary (and used for power and control).

Selective enforcement is a form of harassment.
Last I checked it was also illegal to shit in the street.

"X" marks the spot south of the Mason-Dixon line.

I have heard this is very common in Hawaii. If you are a newcomer to the island it can take years to get the right permits approves, while a local can get it done in a couple of days.

The “X” was installed on top of the building in downtown San Francisco Friday, after police stopped workers earlier this week from dismantling the Twitter sign on the side of the building, according to The Associated Press. They reportedly lacked the proper permits and had not taped off the sidewalk as a safety measure.

No one will die or could die.
There is no one around.
A window fell out of a high rise couple months back.
My friends said the same thing you are saying.
Laughed my ass off.
Friend thought I was not very concerned for fellow human beings.
“Chump” I said. “I’m in the city all the time and this happened at 10:30am on a weekday.
Before covid, plenty of people would have died. Now, ain’t no one around”

In SanFran, probably cheaper to do it right without permits and pay fines later. Might never get it done otherwise with SF govt stonewalling. I’m sure it exceeds SF building codes, Musk would have demanded it be done that way.

What's San Francisco doing about the massive homelessness and super high murder/crime rates?
