Bad move unfortunately.
San Fran needs a lot of money. Not afraid to get it by code violations even if they hurt no one.

Rules is rules. Any sign erected
for businesses is usually subject
to rules and regulations of city
codes. Even if they’re temporary.
Why is this even in the news?

Selective enforcement is a form of harassment.
Last I checked it was also illegal to shit in the street.

Elon trolls San Francisco.
https://youtu.be/AZeBTr85h2k
A bunch of youth steal a sedan and drive it over the edge of a building onto the street, only for the San Francisco authorities to fail to prosecute.
But they have plenty of time to whine over an X sign over the Twitter building.

Musk declared staying in San Francisco, let’s see if the idiots running the city screw that up and cause him to move.

Does Musk own that building or lease space there? If it's leased, I wonder how close it is to renewal time.
And if he owns it, maybe it could be converted into housing units for the poor and unhoused. Great location - very near where the need is located.

I am sure glad SF has taken care of all the crime and drug-related problems and now can go after the real criminal, Musk.

San Francisco has a lot of crap going on there that needs investigating but I don’t think an X on the roof of the Twitter building is one of them.
