A French man who is known for extreme sports is dead after falling off the 68th-story of Hong Kong residential.

Remi Lucidi, 30, was climbing the Tregunter Tower complex when the man fell according to the South China Morning Post.

Lucidi, known online as Remi Enigma, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Hong Kong officials, Lucidi arrived at the building around 6 p.m. and told the security guard that he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor.

A security officer attempted to apprehend Lucidi after the alleged friend confirmed he was not acquainted with Lucidi — but by then the stuntman had already secured an elevator.

Security footage later glimpsed Lucidi arriving on the 49th floor and then again taking the stairs up to the top of the building.

According to those in pursuit of Lucidi, they found the hatch leading to the roof open, but he was nowhere in sight.

Police say the man was last seen alive at 7:38 p.m. when he tapped on the window of the complex’s penthouse, prompting a maid to call the police.

About 6.5 seconds to fall 680 feet and he hit the Oldsmobile at about 140 mph.

My son fell while climbing a pretty high cliff. His partner didn’t put the anchors in tight and they kept popping out as they both fell.

He told me afterward that while free falling he thought, “I didn’t think I would die today, when I woke this morning.”

The last one held and swung him in to a gradual landing on a ledge, unharmed. His climbing partner did not fend as well and he had to pack him in a basket for removal by helicopter.

The next day he had to repeat the climb with investigators to explain what happened.

He’s one of those nuts that sleeps overnight hanging by ropes, thousands of feet in the air.

The only time I got concerned was when he was glacier climbing. Ice is not just slippery, but unpredictable. He’s a wilderness EMT, but that doesn’t help when you are dead.

People in that line of work should not buy their equipment from Acme.

At least the ground broke his fall. Too bad he couldn't just spring back.

Such falls result in a normal-looking dead body; however, every bone will have broken.

The fall didn’t hurt him. It was the sudden stop.

Obviously no Phillippe Petit. I looked Petit up on wiki. Still alive at 73. His unauthorized high wire walk between the World Trade Centre Towers is probably still the greatest daredevil thing in my lifetime. His feat was one of the things that flashed by in my mind on 9/11.
