Todd Chrisley believes he's being treated differently from the rest of his fellow inmates in federal prison ... and he thinks his fame has everything to do with it.
Chrisley's attorney, Jay Surgent, tells TMZ ... Todd believes his celebrity status has resulted in some odd occurrences while locked up at FPC Pensacola in Florida -- even telling us Todd thinks someone took his photo while he was sleeping.
He also claims he hasn't been receiving any mail and thinks it's getting destroyed ... though, he has no clue what the motive would be for someone doing that.
Jay tells us Todd's living conditions are terrible, too, claiming the place is plagued by bad plumbing, possible mold, and no A.C. to help combat the brutal heat. He also claims his wife Julie's struggling with similarly bad conditions over at FMC Lexington, KY, where she's doing her time.
For what it's worth, a rep for the Bureau of Prisons tells us the safety of inmates is a top priority, and both prisons have "contingency plans to address a large range of concerns ... including ventilation temperatures."
Regardless, Jay says Todd submitted an application to try to get switched over to home confinement. Worth a shot, but that seems unlikely, considering the fact the Chrisleys are doing hard time.
TMZ broke the story, Todd and Julie reported to their prisons in January -- Todd got a 12-year sentence, while Julie got 7 ... after the couple was convicted in their bank fraud and tax evasion case.
We're told the plan moving forward is to explore all legal avenues to address the prison conditions.
I love it when somebody I’ve never heard of is called a celebrity. Tells me I’m watching the right stuff
Don’t confuse prison with the Ritz-Carlton.
Who?
I’ve never heard of them either; had to Google them.
Meh, boo-hoo for their whining. Cry me a river; you’re criminal scum. Suck it up, punks.
every post about this guy should mention the millions of dollars he stole from people. There is more suffering involved with the theft than with his petty complaints.
Looks like an ok place. Couple of palm trees! Good sturdy brick building! Roof looks good!
About 40 miles from me.................
They call it HARD time for a reason.
Now can we put the Mini-Madoff, Sam Bankman-Fried, in the next cell over?
You two could have some interesting chats during the "yard break."
We’re in the same boat
It’s interesting in a morbid/train wreck sort of way when a narcissist finds out thier worldview does not mean S&@$ and thier “celebrity” does not carry any water. In this case, it’s a hard pass to read or care more than this entry. Bless his little heart. Done.
Who?
the DOJ dropped the charges against Fried........he donated to the Rats, and probably then Turd-le too.
Some reality show tv family. Todd was funny at times but the grandma was a hoot.
I suspect this guy, who no one’s ever heard of, is really complaining that he’s being treated like everyone else and not being treated as a celebrity.
Why do some Freepers love this guy?
I saw part of that show once, he immediately set off my gaydar
The "Campaign Finance" charges were conveniently "dropped" due Fried to Bahama's request to drop them before they'ed release Sam Bankman-Fried, the Mini-Madoff.
He obviously greased some palms in Bahamian LE and political circles. Also, the Biden DOJ--with a smirk to the $20 million he donated to the Dem campaigns-- was quite happy to accept the terms to get him back.
But the little scamster is still up for multiple conspiracy and fraud charges--and is facing a fistful of witness-tampering charges that he must answer by Friday.
He is set to go to trial in October.
Let's hope he ends up in that hot cell next to Todd Chrisley.
