Data from the United Nations' World Meteorological Organization released on Thursday indicates that July 2023 will go down as the hottest month ever recorded in human history.
The U.N. said July has already had the hottest three-week period ever recorded, the three hottest days on record, and the highest-ever sea-surface temperatures for this time of year.
U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres said the data makes it clear that human-driven climate change is to blame for the spike.

i went back to 1944...the year i was born....now that was a hot year...5 90’s in july...we’ve had one this year.
Just before we were transferred from PA to CA ( the second time) in June 1980, the temperature had been 98 degrees and 98% humidity for 30 days and it rained for some part of every day. That hot period followed the predictions of a new ice age.
When the movers came to pack us up, they found that my loafers were green with mold because the air conditioning didn’t work in the closet.

I want some egg salad, so in a minute I’ll put a few eggs in a pan of water out in the yard. Have to keep an eye on them so they don’t boil dry, though.

Can I ask a stupid question?
How do we know what amount of climate change is human driven, and how much is due to natural cycles we can’t control and don’t understand?
There have been ice ages in earth’s history. During the last ice age, Chicago was buried under a mile of ice. How did all that ice melt, if not for natural climate change? We know that prehistoric man did not generate pollutants to cause that.
Yet this dude, makes pronouncements, likely without any real evidence, that it’s all man made climate change we are seeing.
Then again, we are often told, you can’t go by day to day weather, as an indicator of climate change. But they seem to be doing just that.
