A woman suffered chemical burns after a Florida man dunked her head in a vat of tar-like substance and choked her at gunpoint.
Marshall Dimick, 55, of Rosewood, was arrested this week after an unidentified woman told police she was tortured after she had an “argument” with the felon on Thursday.
Dimick claimed the man “dunked her head into a vat of tar-like substance that is used to treat clam and oyster bags.” He also “pointed a shotgun at her and choked her to near unconsciousness,” the Levy County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
The victim was hospitalized and treated for chemical burns on her face and arms, according to WCJB.
Police classified the crime as a “domestic dispute.”
Dimick reportedly “removed several firearms” from his home before cops arrived. Police later found the guns at a “neighboring property,” the sheriff’s office said.

Is that wrong?…
I always have a vat of tar handy.
Just in case...
😂

Maybe he was trying to make a candy apple.
Seriously. Its Florida man and Florida woman.
that’s my first thought too. maybe she was screaming at him and he was just protecting himself.
Do not argue with a man who has a vat or tar handy
oh for sure....its tradition at FR to blame the victim first, especially if the victim is a female and this thread is just keeping that tradition going....
But was it a drunken dunking???
Sounds like a good name for a reality show, “FLORIDA MAN”
That’s probably correct.
“Do not argue with a man who has a vat or tar handy”
She’s lucky he didn’t have feathers.
When a child runs up to me and says “Billy hit me!”, the first thing I say is, “what happened before that?”. Usually, the situation instantly dissolves.
I despise violence of any sort, but sometimes people poke the dog and get bit.
Floridaman controls his wimmenz! Harshly.
What are you doing out of the kitchen?
When keeping it real goes wrong.
Save the tar for the DC crowd. Feathers too,
The only flaw for MyPillow are these situations...
