Why Ukraine’s counter-offensive is failing
Responsible Statecraft ^ | JULY 19, 2023 | Daniel L. Davis

Last March, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said that as a result of significant Western support, the Ukrainian military’s spring offensive had “a very good chance for success.” Former Chief of the British General Staff, General Richard Dannatt, went so far as to suggest that Ukraine’s offensive would be so successful that Putin “may be swept out of the Kremlin” as a result.

Combat reality, however, has now swept away those optimistic claims and exposed the harsh truth: Ukraine is unlikely to militarily evict Russia out of its territory, no matter how many men they feed into battle.

Why is it that in the last few years I have been convinced we have the dumbest general officers in DOD ever????? As an ex-officer from a family with many veterans, these guys (and gals) scare me to death.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is an idiot, much like General Milley. Whatever they say, the opposite is true or will happen.

Whose offensive is failing changes daily. Europe is the reason for any Ukrainian failure. It’s their problem.

I can answer the question asked in the headline. Nothing about the tranny coke head is real. Coke-insky is irrelevant. NATO has had a hard-on to attack or somehow disable russia for the last 20 years. They built up an army in Uke land [2nd largest, best equipped as of Feb 22, 2022]. Uke didn’t build up that army on their own. There’s no way they could ever afford it - even allowing for the widespread corruption that is the hallmark of Uke society. Proxy wars can work, if each side is using a proxy. Not so much when its proxy vs. world nuclear power, WW2 victor, massive natural resources and with a space program rivaling and exceeding in some aspects that of the USA.

In other words, when you deal with pigs, you get covered in pig sh*t and its really hard to wash off.

"The only real winners on both sides is the United States Military Industrial Complex."

Along with politicians on both side of the aisles, and their big donors who have investments in it.

Pyrrhic victory if they end up a husk of a country with no males living between the ages of 16 and 50 then lose anyway. Especially if the choice to keep up the meat grinder is made by western politicians.

The daily “Ukraine is Lost” post is either late for the day, or early for tomorrow.

I can't believe inspired leadership like this doesn't lead the country to success.

Both countries have open supply lines, not too hard to understand. Wide-open logistics fueled by debt and in Ukraine's case, subsidies by the secular globohomo “Deep State” Beast.

The American have been lied to once again, after a while you would think the American in large numbers would hold these people accountable.

Too many Americans are focused on headline news about the latest Instagram slut who's had meltdown over an offensive remark.

“Austin is an idiot, whereas Douglas McGregor, said that those in Washington, the Biden neocons, who demand an offensive without air cover, should be brought up on murder charges.”

I made a similar comment earlier today saying the same about War Crimes. I was a bit softer in that I didn’t want the Operatives to again blow their stack at me.

The Ukrainians gave their timing away.

The Ukrainians should have called off their offensive in the first place. Now? They need to stop with their probing attacks. It'll go nowhere. And use this time to regroup and ask the West for more weapons. It took Afghanistan 10 years to beat the Soviets. But I don't think time is on Ukraine's side due to their dire demographics.

Only because of our tax money, our equipment and Zelensky not giving a damn about all of the losses. It’s being said that at least half the Ukrainians that have left will never return.

That country is never coming back thanks to Biden, NATO and all the war cheerleaders.

Remember, Obama purged all the general officers who had any serious foreign military savvy. Now, we are like Stalin in 1941, after he purged all his good generals for being politically incorrect, and then Operation Barbarossa showed up on his doorstep.

Not when you consider they have lost 20% of their population from moving to other countries or dying in battle. There was a agreement in place and all they had to do is refuse to join NATO at a later date.

Correct. But no one is going to attack us. And if someone is going to attack us, we can nuke them. Stalin didn't have nukes at that time.

As bad as he is, Lloyd Austin, may be the most competent person in the Joe Shitbag Biden administration.

Sometimes the truth is horrible.

Supporting Ukraine is supporting international human trafficking and then Biden Crime family. Ukraine must die rather than give Biden and his pack of monsters a victory. Biden is the most immoral tyrant since Caligula.

#1 There aren’t going to be any winners
in that war.
Kind of like our civil war, we are still
stuck with Democrats fuking up our lives.
Sue for a shitty peace and then quietly kill all
Russians in their land.
