Seriously? Taylor Swift?

I guess she’s doing her part, but she’s no savior.

Bleccchhh. I don’t even know any of her music except that one vapid song all the NFL cheerleaders were dancing to a few years ago.

“The Swifties say it isn’t just a concert, it’s a life-changing experience. The ticket prices do not hold them back.”

Swifties sound kind of like a cult. I don’t know…maybe she *is* good. But somehow, I doubt it.

If I woke up and found myself at a Taylor Swift concert I’d pay double to be let back out. I’m not a preteen girl so I guess I can’t relate.

Her Dad Scott went to my HS. Played basketball. Very well to do family in our little town.

Her Grandfather was great. You look up images of “Country Clubber” somewhere, and you’d see Dean Swift complete w/ pipe in mouth.

I haven’t ever purposefully listened to her songs, but if she makes kids happy, whatever.

If she’s a leftist - again, whatever. Knowing her family, I think she’ll come around some day.

The price of attending a Taylor Swift concert is primarily proof that people are incredibly gullible and desperate for vapid entertainment.

She is a pretty good looking gal, but I wouldn’t pay the asking price for a ticket to one of her concerts for even a private performance which also included ‘a happy ending’.

Eight years ago my son took me to the Musical Instruments Museum in Scottsdale. By coincidence, the museum had a special exhibit of Taylor Swift’s clothes and Musical instruments. It was great for me, since everyone there clustered into the exhibit hall, leaving the rest of the museum to the few of us who were fascinated by the octobass, the instruments from around the world, and the 19th century mechanical music contraptions.

On the other hand, I haven’t heard that she sings songs about the moisture level in her lady parts, so there is a positive aspect.

It is just garbage teenage pop music, indistinguishable from a hundred other variations of the same, which breaks no new musical ground, and rehashes tired old pop cliches from the 1980s and 1990s. The audience is a gullible crowd with no discernment.

Having said that, it is one more example of the complete rout of conservative culture over the past couple of decades. There are no conservative superstars in the popular culture any more. The pace with which leftists have seized the institutions is incredible.

And on the other hand Lizzo is lining the pockets of buffet and chicken joints everywhere.

She still cannot sing. None of her songs will be remembered like the oldies we listen to. A circus act.

Yes, yes, yes!

An economy that sucks ever more resources from productive investment to frivolous consumption is terrific!

THIS (she) is the real world Idol worship
we have been warned about since the beginning.
THIS has quickly become a rocky, path with thorns,
where the seed cannot take root.

LOL! For some reason, I believe it’s FJB, and not Tater Swuft who is saving the hotel and tourism industry by inviting the invaders into America and filling the hotels up with his illegal alien invader guests. Just an observation.

My wife and my daughter went to the show in DFW. Just about all of my daughter’s teen aged friends went. Prior to going there was clothes, shoes, accessories, a party to plan going... Concert day there was food, drinks, memorabilia from the show. Parking was crazy expensive so I drove them.

Here’s the thing. It was a spectacle, an amazing concert, a great performance. Maybe a generational event that these kids will hang on to. It was worth every penny.

It reminded me of the 80’s in high school some of the concerts we attended, these two were events. I can think of so many concerts from that timeframe and later that were just something far, far beyond a group playing live. I get it.

Swift isn’t my kind of music, but I respect that she writes, plays and performs. She deserves to be called an artist, and from what I gather puts on a hell of a show.
