Her Dad Scott went to my HS. Played basketball. Very well to do family in our little town.

Her Grandfather was great. You look up images of “Country Clubber” somewhere, and you’d see Dean Swift complete w/ pipe in mouth.

I haven’t ever purposefully listened to her songs, but if she makes kids happy, whatever.

If she’s a leftist - again, whatever. Knowing her family, I think she’ll come around some day.

Taylor Swift used to be Center-Right politically, but she kept it very low profile publicly, and I do not think any of her music clearly reflected a political point of view.

Suddenly, at exactly the same moment female author JK Rowling (Harry Potter books) took a stand against male to female gender transition and trans-males in female restrooms and on women sports teams, Swift went loud and crystal clear as politically Woke.

Very hard for me to understand a radical Left Turn by an intelligent successful woman after age 30.
