Just a story of (mostly) good men who went there to fight and are leaving as they are shocked by the ferocity and massive casualties they are seeing.

How can any conflict end up better? This is the absurdity of war. But sometimes war is neccessary.
Stripping leadership to the waist and equipping them with swords would probably end war before it ever started.

I didn’t see the part about them leaving because of witnessing atrocities, where in the video is that?
I think the confusion is the word atrocities. I think they mean the despair and slaughter they witnessed……became too much for many.
That is what I saw, the video is about some wanting to leave the horrors of war after a long time of volunteer service, yet Sky News put a fake headline to the video.

I actually knew a guy that got wealthy on the first gulf war. He was a fairly moderate income lawyer…guessing 100k a year or less??? Just looking at his cars, house etc.
Well he got insider information that black rock was going to get much of the supporting contracts for the war. He used all his savings maybe even borrowed on his house and invested in B.R.
About 4 years into the mess he retired. Last I heard from his grown up kid is his “job” is he travels around the country to casinos and is a semi-pro poker player.
