If you don't know what you are celebrating, why make any noise about it?
Reporting in from Putnam county NY.
In spite of the rainy weather we have had fireworks for four days now and tonight it seems the most.
We’re 20-30 minutes north of Austin in Williamson County. Heard quite a few late last night, but it’s been quieter than I recall in the five summers we’ve been here. To be fair, the early high temperatures in June (many 100+ degree days) and the lack of rainfall here in Central Texas has exacerbated the fire danger with dry trees, shrubs, and weeds.
Here’s some for you. Fireworks start about 38 seconds in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlbCakDfXfE
You can stay here we’ve had 4 days of fireworks 💥
Now it’s quiet again.
Spent a glorious summer in Pemberton back in the ‘80s. B1’s used to fly right over the house. Read Tom Brown’s book the Tracker. Learned about the Jersey Devil. Learned a bit of carpentry too.
Past few days here in central Minnesota (yes minnesota) as well.
I have been hearing fireworks since the night of June 26th here in East Tennessee...
There’s lots of mobile home parks in that area full of veterans. Hillsborough County has veteran border jumpers. Cartels are wondering, WTF is this all about?
I’m on the coast south of Houston. Stocked up on Tramadol for the dogs and have yet to hear a single firework, weekend included.
Neighborhood started well before dark.... just dusk and they’re blasting all over the place already.
There are more fireworks outside my house than ever before. Charlotte NC
Pemberton huh?? Yep, that’s deep in the Pines. I’ve lived here all my life (70) years. I was 40 before I found out I had an allergy to pine trees. Explained why I always got a cold at Christmas.
Sorry they’re not in your area. In our small town in MA they’ve been exploding for days and still are, as I type. Must be private as well as town celebrations. And the day is still wet.
This is the fourth straight night of fireworks in the area around where I am right now in central PA. Some towns have their fireworks on the Saturday before the 4th, some on the Sunday before the 4th, etc.
Fireworks - Beethoven’s 9th - I made this back in 2018, but fireworks are still fireworks.
Just started here too (NE Pa).

It’s illegal to shoot fireworks off in my county, but the county allows fireworks to be sold. Go figure...
So what happens? People shoot fireworks off. One year the cops showed up down the street, no tickets or anything but the fireworks ceased. The cops haven’t showed up since.
I have a couple of steel blackpowder salutes, they provide a hearty BOOM. But I’m not throwing money at fireworks.
