Acclaimed actor Sir Mark Rylance candidly revealed his scepticism during the pandemic, as he recalled alarm bells starting to ring in his head when he was told to have the Covid-19 vaccine.
Sir Mark Rylance was “not convinced” that he needed the Covid-19 vaccine during the pandemic, and an insistence that he needed it sparked “alarm bells” in his mind.
Although he ultimately did get the jab, so he could visit his father in America, the 63-year-old told The Sunday Times that he used a distilled garlic solution and vitamin C daily to keep healthy while performing in the hit stage play Jerusalem.
He explained his cynicism, saying that in the midst of lockdowns and quarantine restrictions, “science started to sound like a religion.
“And really science is no different than religion, just an attempt by men to describe reality," he said.
The Bridge of Spies star added that “the body knows how to heal itself”, a belief which extended beyond the pandemic too as he criticised chemotherapy.

The Oscar-winner argued that extreme medical treatments like chemotherapy is “like bombing a city to try and get rid of a little sect of terrorists.
“You may wipe them all out, but you're going to breed 25 or 30 (more)," he insisted.
His return to one of his most notorious stage roles, as Johnny Byron, in last year’s revival of the play Jerusalem earned Sir Mark critical acclaim and now the 63-year-old is preparing for his upcoming play, Dr Semmelweis.
The new show, reportedly written before the pandemic, follows a 19th-century Hungarian doctor who is driven mad as the medical institutions surrounding him refuse to listen to him about the importance of sanitation in preventing the spread of germs and disease.
As the former artistic director of The Globe Theatre in London, Sir Mark also weighed in on the recent controversies sparked by author Elizabeth Winkler who suggest in her book, Shakespeare Was A Woman and Other Heresies, that poet Philip Sidney’s sister, Mary, had a role in the publication of the iconic plays.
Sir Mark agreed with the concept, saying: “It’s a very, very reasonable, rational question."

That was just one of many things that raised red flags with me. They were so pushy in getting everyone vaxxed even those of us who had acquired natural immunity after recovering from covid.
Yes, me too. Ditto that.
Why understanding the motives of public health leaders during Covid is so important!
Paradoxically, deeming public health experts stupid and incompetent actually reinforces the consensus narrative: that lockdowns and vaccines were part of a public health plan.
In this reading, the response may have been terrible, or it may have gone awry, but it was still just a stupid public health plan designed by incompetent public health leaders.
Such a conclusion leads to calls for misguided and necessarily ineffectual solutions: Even if we replaced every single HHS employee or de~funded the HHS or even the WHO altogether, we would not solve the problem and would be poised to repeat the entire pandemic fiasco all over again.
The only way to avoid such repetition is to recognize the Covid catastrophe for what it was:
An international counter terrorism effort focused myopically on lockdowns and vaccines, to the exclusion of all traditional and time-tested public health protocols.
We need to wake up to the fact that, since the terrorist attacks of 9/11 (if not earlier), we have ceded control of the agencies that are supposed to be in charge of public health to an international military-intelligence-pharmaceutical cartel.

`terrorism experts and vaccine developers is not interested in public health at all, except as a cover for their very secret and very lucrative bio~warfare research and countermeasure development.
Public health was shunted aside during the Covid pandemic, and the public health leaders were used as trusted “experts” to convey bio~warfare edicts to the population.
Their cooperation does not reflect stupidity or incompetence. Making such claims contributes to the coverup of the much more sinister and dangerous transfer of power that their seemingly foolish behavior was meant to hide.
