An expert detailed Thursday what the five victims killed in the Titan submersible likely faced in the “catastrophic implosion” near the Titanic ship.
The United States Coast Guard announced on Thursday that the five passengers inside the submersible were “lost” in a “catastrophic implosion” just hours after they found debris near the wrecked Titanic ship.
“The reality is, at that depth and at those pressures, this is the natural outcome … this is definitely the way to go,” G. Michael Harris, a Titanic expedition leader, said on Fox News. “So, two nanoseconds for that vehicle to implode and it would take your spinal column four nanoseconds to register to your brain. Then it’s a problem. So we always said if there’s a problem out of the body in the presence of the Lord.”
Butch Hendrick, a rescue diver, said he hoped the submersible was “entangled,” and added he is thankful the search has been resolved. Dr. Michael Gullen, who experienced being stuck in a vessel undersea, said he knew the situation had to be a “catastrophic failure.”

“It was designed to pop back up to the surface if anything had gone wrong happened, and it had backup systems, electrical systems and ultimately compressive air systems, automatic systems and the fact that none of those systems kicked in to bring this thing to the top, indicated to me that it had to be a catastrophic failure,” Gullen said.
The remains of the five passengers have not been found by search teams. The victims have been identified as British billionaire Hamish Harding, French oceanographer and Titanic researcher Paul-Henri Nargeolet, OceanGate CEO and pilot Stockton Rush, Pakistani business mogul Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son, Suleman.
The submersible departed off the coast of St. John’s, Newfoundland on Sunday and lost contact with the mother ship less than two hours after its departure. Experts said the submersible would likely run out of oxygen by Thursday as it was equipped with 96 hours of breathable air.
A search for the submersible immediately began for several days until the discovery of the debris.
Oh, absolutely!! I had the rare privilege to work for one of “Grace’s Girls”.
I think you got that part wrong. They likely imploded never knowing there was a problem.
Much like finding a booger in Lake Michigan.
Well, they lie like rugs, but I’m not opposed to concealing the Navy’s best deep sea monitoring capabilities while carrying out a fake “recovery” search - although it did involve torturing the families unnecessarily and spending a lot of money.
“So we always said if there’s a problem out of the body in the presence of the Lord”
Is my stroke shorting me out or does this not make sense?
It's not taught in schools anymore. Instead they are fed by shovel used to clean out a cat's litter box !!!
They know nothing about True AMERICAN HISTORY, any War other than the War on drugs.
If they are told about: The American Revolutionary War, American Civil War, War of 1812, WW I, WW II, Korean War, Cold War, The loss of the USS THRESHER, the 1st Submarine to Implode. All 129 of the Crew and Shipyard Employees aboard the Thresher all knew what was going to happen before it did due to several problems that they could not resolve. The Space Race in which we lost The Crew of Apollo 1 and it took 17 seconds for them to die.
Then they are told Revisionist history. Things like America started WW II by bombing the Japanese with a Nuclear Weapon, that the American Civil War was about slavery, President Donald J. Trump is hitler and anyone who even remotely likes Him are nazi's. When in reality the Uniparty fake Republicans are no different from Demonratcommieblmantifaterrorscumfeminazipedophilegoatrapers are communists and they have a real nazi's are nazipelouzy and upchucky schlepter.
I read that as well. I believe there is some punctuation and letters missing.
Try this:
“So we always said: ... If there’s a problem,... out of the body inTO the presence of the Lord”...............
IOW, you instantaneously go from life in a sub, to life ‘elsewhere’....................
Explosions go BOOM! so…implosions would go MOOB! but… I would think it probably sounded more like MOOP!
Maybe the Navy would release the tape…like it matters.
RIP.
Im not an engineer but from what Ive seen them write, I dont know that there was tinks.
It wasnt metal like the regular navy subs, the carbon cant flex repeatedly like the alloy on subs. The carbon seems perfectly fine one minute with no sign there are fibers breaking until it achieves failure then its just gone.
From what I’ve read years ago, the IM-plosion is followed immediately by an EX-plosion.
The air and and any flammables inside the ‘container’ are suddenly compressed just like the air-fuel mixture in a diesel engine cylinder, and it ignites under compression.
So it would be like a CRUNCH!-BOOM!..............
Well if there is an after life, they can boldly start out their conversations with the all famous... “There I was, minding my own business and!...” lol
My amateur view is that carbon fiber seems like the wrong material for a vessel meant to resist outside pressure rather than to contain inside pressure. That’s because the fibers would tend to be under compression rather than tension, which doesn’t seem to play to their strength so to speak. Don’t know if that’s a valid analysis but it’s what comes to mind first.
Put a comma after the word problem.
He’s basically saying that’s the instantaneous time from when the problem happens to standing in the presence of the Lord.
I have no idea.
According to what else Ive read it has taken about 50 trips and the body is swapped replaced about every two.
Unlike the metal alloys used by the navy the fibers in the carbon body cannot repeatedly flex. The damage to the material when it is stressed causes fibers to start to break and cannot effectively be seen or tested for until its too late.
I suppose its possible that those in the area might have known.
I saw someone reporting that tagged sharks near the coast knew and reacted. I think we can assume that such a thing is just nonsense or misunderstanding by the reporter. While sound does travel a long way under water, for sharks to react then this would have to happen so often that sharks have come to associate the sound of implosion with meals, meals at a depth that they could reach and somehow gather. I think blood would be carried the wrong way in the current.
A couple of locals swimming around enjoying the smell maybe but responding from anywhere else then no.
That is my understanding of was written also.
It also explains the supposed NASA connection. Someone did design the hull to withstand pressure, just an entirely different type of pressure and for an entirely different application.
Sorry, I owe you a “what” to go along with that response.
I think its time for a nap.
Nice rant. I like it…especially that last line!
“The remains of the five passengers have not been found”
And won’t be found.
