N. Adam Brown, MD, MBA, is an emergency medicine physician and business expert. This past weekend, I stood with my husband looking up into the sky. People packed the pier on the Wharf in Washington, D.C., as a rainbow of fireworks sparkled in the warm, June sky. Music played. People laughed and danced. "Pride" was in full swing, and I was proud.
Seriously though, I couldn't trust a homosexual physician as they knowingly participate in a disease-spreading lifestyle. This guy's definitely around the bend using terms like "misgendering" and "deadnaming". I could call HIV a particularly nasty cold but that wouldn't make it so.
Professionals who frequently deal with life and death decisions HAVE to be grounded in reality.
A lot of words to cover the obvious ideas that doctors should be aware of what health conditions impact which communities and be compassionate when dealing with patients.
