A heroic grandmother was violently mauled as she wrestled her neighbor's violent pitbull with her bare hands to protect her two young grandchildren, leaving her dripping with blood after the dog tore chunks out of her face, legs and arms.
Rhonda Stickney, from Motley, Minnesota, said the dangerous animal lunged at her daughter Tiffani, 27, grandson Jaxsyen, four, and Keyahra, two, as they stood in her doorway.
The 50-year-old instinctively jammed herself between the aggressive mut and the children to protect them from being 'killed', only for the deranged dog to drag her outside by her leg.

The dog should be put down and the neighbor arrested.
If you own one of these dangerous dogs, keep them secure and away from children? They will be nice and gentle until suddenly they are not. And when their jaws lock onto their prey, they refuse to let go.
Dog of Peace strikes again.
Pitbull’s need to be regulated. Not a word I use often.
Ditto.
If by “regulated” you mean ‘rounded up and exterminated’ then I agree.
Pitbull’s need to be EXTERMINATED...... Not a word I use often...............
Sweetest dog. Just twitched eyebrow wrong. Heard it a dozen times
Agree.
About a half mile from my house a young woman was attacked and viciously mauled by a Pitbull that jumped over a 4 foot chain link fence to get her as she was jogging by on the sidewalk.....................
Pit bulls should be bred out of existence.
And some apartment complexes that allow pets have pit bulls because they’re not allowed to discriminate and there are certain protections with that whole service dog law. It’s a damn shame that some people have to live in fear and can’t escape this menace.
There needs to be consequences, real ones, that hurt, financially and physically.
Most people have no idea the extent of damage a dog, especially a pit bull, can do in a very short period of time. They can kill in less than 30 seconds, I know, I have seen it happen among other dogs. Some dogs just nip more as a warning than anything else and that might draw blood and a minor puncture wound. It can be any kind of dog, not just pit bulls that can go into attack mode.
My 27-year-old granddaughter adopted a formerly abused 4-year-old female Pitbull from a shelter. So far, she has been docile, except for the first time she was introduced to my daughter. My daughter tried to stare her down before putting her hand out to pet her and she promptly got nipped on the hand.
I had better sense when introduced to her and she was fine with me. Dogs love me but the German Shepherd is the only dog that has ever bitten me so I stay away from them. Even when I worked for a Vet as a tech, I was never bitten. I have handled Rottweilers, Dobermans, hounds of all types, Akitas, and many other aggressive breeds. I let the other techs handle the GSD’s.
Megan, you could be my lost sister! ;-D
Never fear....
....Following the horrific ordeal, Stickney contacted the police. The dog was not destroyed but the neighbor was forced to put a microchip in the animal and make it wear a muzzle whenever it goes outside.....
🙃
That’s it???
I’m sure this irresponsible dog owner will follow the rules. NOT. 🤬
There’s a dog anti-discrimination law?
English Bulldogs used to have the same reputation as Pitbulls do today.
They are the mascots for several sports teams and the US Marines. They were the typical ‘Mean Dog’ in Warner Brothers and Tom & Jerry cartoons of the 40’s and 50’s.
But since WWII, breeders have worked to breed out the aggressiveness factor. They have been bred to the point of being just big friendly lumps of drooling dog.............
I’ve been looking for a dog for a couple of years since my last one passed away, so I thought I’d check out some Humane Society shelters (which I have never done), somebody’s always given me a dog.
My local shelter for the last decade and even before that usually maintains about 90 to 95% pitbulls, so all monies that are going to these humane shelters are going there to keep pits alive and fed. Nobody wants them.
I know that if I was in a survival situation I probably want to have three or four pit bulls around me but then that would be a survival situation.
Is there really a need for pit bulls? They were bred for fighting and still retain that hereditary aspect.
I have met some good pit bulls but as far as I’m concerned it’s a role of the dice on that.
Homeowners insurance won’t cover people with dogs such as mastiffs and pitbulls, or if so, the insured will pay a much higher premium with mandated options where the homeowner has to keep the blacklisted animal behind a suitable fence inspected for certain codes and on a chain in addition to the fence.
I wouldn’t generally use the registration word but these animals are time bombs in a lot of cases, and some people train them to be this way as an extension of their own psychopathic violent tendencies, I just don’t think there’s any place for those mastiffs and pit animals, Any dog can fight but a territorial dog like a big terrier that’s full on capable of maiming and killing by instinct? In an instant? No.
Here, a vicious dog bite attack usually means the dog is destroyed............
Pitbull owners should all be arrested imo.
