Right…someone is totally going to read that. LOL.

I do it every week...36 hour fast...Sunday night through Tuesday morning. And so on through the week. Only consuming tea and bone broth and water a few times.
It's helpful. I follow Dr. Jason Fung's plan in his book, "The Diabetes Code".
My last A1c was 6.1...down from 7.5 six months prior.

Yes, I do intermittent fasting between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and dinner. Cant say that I have seen much improvement.

Been doing it for about 2 years. I don’t eat between 7 PM and 12 Noon. After a few days your body gets used to the routine and you don’t feel hungry in the morning.

I fasted M—F every week for two years.
I found it much easier than intermittent fasting.

I’m not one for fasting but I’ve been eating smaller portions - just enough to maintain my normal weight.

I fast twice per day. I eat dinner, fast, eat breakfast and fast. I had weight problems beginning sitting down at a desk after I graduated college until about 10 years ago. Then I stopped all diets, ignored government recommendations, and laughed at research papers. I eat and drink fats (whole milk), lots of protein and vegetables. Probably the three most important things I do is I eat what my body craves, I eat in moderation and I rarely eat processed/packaged foods. Although, I do not give myself any restrictions in what I eat.
I lost 70 lbs in 2 1/2 years and have kept it off for nearly 8 years. My weight vacillates two to five pounds either side of 145 lbs.
I call this the old fashioned diet, as in when people didn’t diet or talk about diets.

Fasting for more than a couple days in a row is dangerous. I throws all kinds of systems out of sync and can damage you permanently.
Been there...

And by the way, breads do the same damn thing those potatoes do. Potatoes may not have a lot of nutritional value but they do have potassium which most Americans are short of these days. And don't say bananas. They have a minimum of potassium but lots of sugars. Potatoes have starches but starches are long chain sugars and metabolize much slower.

I don’t count calories; I count carbs.
As a result, since Nov ‘23 my A1C went from 5.8 (diagnosed with pre-diabetes) to 5.4 (no diabetes)

Had a friend that was a runner. Couldn’t lose the last 10 pounds he wanted.
I told him, if you’re serious, no eating after 6 p.m.
Popcorn, no butter or perhaps celery sticks or carrot sticks with nothing on them (I believe it burns more calories digesting than received).
He lost the extra 10 pounds in less than 2 weeks.

The men on those carnivore YouTubes have a strong physique, not fat, not skinny...just like a man should be.

Yep you got to keep hydrated. I drink a steady flow of flavored seltzer water. No calories no carbs and taste pretty good.
