A man who died after police officers in North Carolina's capital city repeatedly used stun guns on him died from "sudden cardiac arrest" related to cocaine intoxication and the police confrontation, according to the state's autopsy report released Wednesday. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner also labeled the Jan. 17 death of 32-year-old Darryl Tyree Williams a homicide.
The autopsy report listed the cause of Williams’ death "as sudden cardiac arrest in the setting of cocaine intoxication, physical exertion, conducted energy weapon use, and physical restraint." A toxicology analysis in part detected cocaine and a chemical that's contained in marijuana in his blood, the report said.
The Raleigh Police Department said its officers were trying to arrest Williams around 2 a.m. for possession of a controlled substance.
Several officers were placed on administrative leave, and the State Bureau of Investigation conducted a probe into what happened. The SBI has submitted its case file to Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman, who will determine whether criminal charges are appropriate, SBI spokesperson Angie Grube said.

“It caused him to be more susceptible to being tased?”
Correct. Its powers are limitless.
“Darryl Tyree Williams”
When will the officers be charged with murder?
If the cop was white, the tase killed him.
If the cop was black, it was the cocaine.

My Hart Cant beet!
Mississippi John Hurt.
A Dindunuffin’!
It is beyond time to completely stop charging police officers with any kind of crime when their actions, were there not a death, would not have been deemed wrong or excessive. And this is particularly true when the deceased was completely raged out on illegal drugs (cocaine). This has shades of the death of the reprobate “saint” George Floyd - in that the police that day would have never been charged with anything - except the guy died - and that death, just like this one, was actually brought about by preexisting conditions and/or extreme toxic drug use.
I would further propose that any family that tries to get the officers fired or otherwise harmed - should themselves be charged with slander & defamation.
Your family member is a drug-addicted sociopath - you have ZERO grounds to blame anyone but the dead family member for their behavior and choices that led up to their death. Too bad.
Or a billy club up-side the head until you stop fighting!
