In Japan, an estimated 1.5 million people — many of them young men — now live in complete isolation.
The problem has grown so severe that the Japanese have a term for it: Hikikomori, one who literally withdraws from society.

During a recent interview with Chris Williamson, a British podcaster based in Austin, Texas, the political economist Nicholas Eberstadt discussed the fact that 7 million men of prime working age are currently without employment and not seeking jobs. Many of these men, said Eberstadt, spend inordinate amounts of time indoors, totally withdrawn from society.

Obviously, there are other factors, like the destruction of the family and males being marginalized for the last 40 years but I have to wonder about the effects of our American diet on men and boys. Plastic is in just about everything. You can’t get away from it. It is used as a liner in soda cans and many food items are packaged in it. Another factor are the bad oils (soy bean being a common one) in so many packaged and processed foods. We’re finally learning that low fat diets are not so great for you after all. Wondering what impact these may have on men’s testosterone levels which have been plummeting in recent years?

You might add the introduction of no-fault divorce in the states to the pile of causes. These women don’t think very well, they ‘feelz’. Makes them very susceptible to the emotional propaganda spewed into this culture 24/7. And when they feelz that they are thinking, well, there you are.
Same approach as closing the mental hospitals and leaving the mentally ill to shift for themselves, and be taken advantage of, on the streets.
It’s unfortunate that unfaithfulness is not factored into divorce preceedings.
Even Bob Dylan was “stuck inside this mobile with the Memphis Blues again”.
Given the state of today’s American society, you can hardly blame them.
May have left an infectious reminder....or had the john “rolled” by her pimp....now it seems like some guys take two ladies home...get drugged...then stolen blind...
And people laughed at the name Soy-boy.
I didn’t deliberately, and suddenly decide to go to the Philippines, for a woman. I just went where I was successful. 😀 Some think Philippine women are all submissive, but I can say that is not true. They are kind of middle of the road, in the submissiveness area. They are, however, content to be a woman and they let a man be a man, and they take their wedding vows seriously. Mostly, they don’t care about looks or age differences, so I got a 10. 😆😀😊🤗 They care about how a man treats them.
I was in Wiesbaden for 4 years, from 1980 to 1984. There were about 18,000 Army troops, and only about 2,000 of us Air Force guys. I was a USAF Senior NCO, but my son is a USAF Captain. In his last squadron, somewhere in the Middle East, he was the XO. I was never satisfied with the way we enlisted people were treated, so I told him to be a commissioned officer, so he would not have to put up with the same garbage I put up with.
I happened across a video of the “reporter” asking the women what the man would have to earn in a year for the woman to date them (USA, looked like 20-something women).
Salaries they mentioned ranged from $120k to $500k.
“500 thousand dollars a year? Okay - did you know that the average salary of a 30 year old in the USA is about $50,000 a year?”
“Oh - it’s that low? Gosh, I didn’t know that. Okay, make it $300,000 for me to date a guy.”
“We are killing our younger generation with screens.”
Yep. The trans-cult is one such predator that wouldn’t be able to do near as much damage if it weren’t for the digital world. But in a much larger extent, the video world provides LOTS of the fulfillment and stimulus on the biological and brain-function level as real life.
I was reading how all of the positive stimulus that we get from the internet (killing a monster on video games, solving a word puzzle, getting a “like” on twitter, getting a response on FR!, etc.) ALL will be balanced by a negative reaction. The brain likes things in BALANCE. So the bad part is, all of the “good” stimulus actually ends up making people MORE depressed!
Which may be another reason for folks moping around alone at home.
Guilty as charged!
Yeah - that cartoon comes to my mind often, and I realize I need to put down the mouse. Nobody cares anyways!
Although sometimes it is good just for our own sake to hear different points of views and formulate our own thoughts and get them written out.
important to make the distinction between males and men
No actually the screens are a giant mirror we hold up to ourselves. We are killing our children and ourselves and replacing ourselves with some sort of sub human.
Locking oneself away is not a normative response to evil.
Seems as though I have hit a nerve with the loners here .
Custody needs to be, at a minimum, joint legal and -physical if not him as the primary.
Been there and done that. Got the Tshirt.
