'Are the handcuffs necessary? I'm a good child': Shocking moment sobbing 12-year-old girl repeatedly apologizes as she's arrested for 'stabbing her nine-year-old brother to death' in Oklahoma

* The siblings' mother April Lyda told police she was asleep when her daughter woke her up to say she had stabbed her brother, Zander

****************************************************************

Police bodycam footage captured the horrifying moments after a 12-year-old girl allegedly stabbed her nine-year-old brother to death in their Oklahoma home.

The siblings' mother April Lyda told police she was asleep upstairs when her daughter woke her up shortly before midnight to say she had stabbed her brother, Zander.

The girl, who has not been named by police, is heard sobbing and repeatedly apologizing as officers arrived at the downtown Tulsa home on January 5.

The boy was rushed to the hospital and taken into surgery, but died from his injuries shortly after 2:30 a.m. CT.

The edited video, obtained by The Law & Crime Network, begins with the girl running downstairs as she yells, 'I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.'

As the girl is taken out of the home by police, Lyda appears by the door frame saying the boy has stab wounds on his chest.

'You better pray to God he f*****g lives,' she tells the girl.

'I'm so sorry, momma,' the girl replies. 'I don't know what happened.'

The handcuffed girl then leads police to the knife she supposedly used to stab her brother, which she had thrown out of a window.

Once in the patrol car, the girl asks if she's going to jail as an officer tries to console her saying it's too soon to tell.

'I ruined my life,' she says. 'I ruined my whole future. It's all my fault.'

At one point, the girl appears to pray as she says: 'God, please help me. What the f***. Please. F*** please.'

Huh...Didn’t see a mention of the dad in that article. Interesting.

From the article:

...She [the mother] goes to claim that the girl started having behavior issues when 'she was put back on a medication she was off for over a year,' adding that 'it wasn’t psych meds.'

Kids taking medication is usually bad news. They tried putting one of my children on it for "Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder" or something like that and we refused. We determined it was perfectly normal for our child to daydream in class and get hyperactive after sitting down in a classroom for hours at a time. Our kids turned out just fine without all that Ritalin garbage.

This girl certainly did ruin her life. Best case scenario for her is that she is held in custody until age 18 but she will need to live with this murder for the rest of her life. She will never be able to escape the fact that she killed her little brother.

What were the meds? Why was she on them?

Did the meds turn her into a killer? Or, were there warning signs before the meds?

It’s all about her. Her life. Her future.

Notice she has no compassion for her brother.

Pure sociopath.

Children with it don’t tend to conceal it as well as adult sociopaths, but they are perfectly capable emotion. They will even cry. The only difference is that they cry because their own life is ruined, and the people they hurt don’t even register.

“”I don’t care what kind of person you are,””

I beg to differ - that word doesn’t come out unless there’s a daily habit of using it. For those of us who have NEVER used it, our words would have been much different. Not claiming sainthood, I just don’t speak gutter words. I care WHAT God hears me speak!

The video is too sad to watch. So the little boy is dead and the little girl’s life is ruined. And the mother... who knows.

“”So you believe God only hears the prayers of the pure of heart?””

Interesting that you describe the language used by the mother and child as “prayers”.

“I’m a good child”

Nope, you are an evil thug who needs to spend their rest of your life in a dark prison cell.

“”Interesting vocabulary for a prayer.””

You are right in spite of the negative replies...Guess we stand alone here the same as we do in today’s “society”. I don’t know of any occasion that would prompt me to come out with that language. Wish I could say the same for other people. There’s no such thing anymore as “watch your language”....anything goes and what a shame that it’s accepted so readily!

I know a young mother who named her son Xander (short for Alexander and pronounced “Zander”). I have no idea why she and her husband gave him that name, but she and her husband seem pretty solid parents.

One minute, 7 seconds. I must’ve started typing right before you posted. Kudos to you for refusing meds for your child. One reason I kept my children out of school was that the school was pushing meds. So, my boys enjoyed their childhood med-free, too.

Why be so quick to decide the limits of God’s mercy? It is such a sad situation, sounds like this girl grew up in a terrible environment, I would hope God understands all that.

“I beg to differ - that word doesn’t come out unless there’s a daily habit of using it.”

Wow, if you think you are going to be the collected and perfect person at all times, and are never capable of behaving beyond your perfection when put in an unbelievably stressful situation, then really you shouldn’t be walking on this earth and should be among the choirs of the angels.

Apparently, you and you alone, somehow avoided the fall from grace when Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden.

Humans are flawed and failed creatures, all of us. I have witnessed enough to know that your presumption is absolutely wrong. I have seen how grief, anger, and passion have overtaken mans better angels in moments, and if you believe that folks only curse because its a daily part of their lives and otherwise they would never ever do so, well, you just enjoy that judgemental bubble.

‘God, please help me. What the f***. Please. F*** please.’”

Interesting, you believe this is not?

Do some people even realize who Christ actually spoke to and associated with during his life?

The older I get, the more I realize, religion is lost on many who claim to be religious.
