Multiple Republicans say they will vote against 'turd sandwich' debt ceiling deal, declaring it 'an insult to the American people'

Many Republican lawmakers have announced they will vote against the Fiscal Responsibility Act, after President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy reached a final agreement on the deal on Sunday with just days to spare before a potential first-ever government default.

Rep. Matt Rosendale, a Republican from Montana, confirmed in a statement that he would be voting against what he dubbed as the 'Fiscal Irresponsibility Act' as he said it failed to rein in federal spending.

He also said lawmakers who are intending to vote for the bill are insulting the American people by voting to add '$4 trillion to the existing $31 trillion national debt'.

Elsewhere within his party, Rep. Chip Roy from Texas called the agreement a 'turd-sandwich' and said he had spoken to a number of his colleagues who were not intending to vote on the agreement.

Rep. Ralph Norman, a member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus from South Carolina, called the deal 'insanity' and said he was 'not gonna vote to bankrupt our country'.

The deal would see the nation's debt ceiling limit raised for two years, after Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the U.S. government would run out of money to pay its bills by June 5.

In a statement released on Sunday night, Rosendale said: 'The D.C. Swamp has proposed the largest debt ceiling increase in our nation’s history, adding $4 trillion to the existing $31 trillion national debt.

'The Fiscal Irresponsibility Act fails to cut spending and continues to fund the Democrats' and Biden Administration’s radical agenda.

'It is frankly an insult to the American people to support a piece of legislation that continues to put our country’s financial future at risk. Montanans did not send me to Washington to support business as usual, which is why I will be voting...

Wish they were this concerned when Trump first took office.

There needs to be more than “multiple”.

Shut it down.

Whattya bet they go over wherever the goal posts have moved to by [after] June5th?

Both “sides” would rather have a club to beat the other over the head with for campaigning.

America can go pound sand to them [all].

Many of these holdouts will be bought off with money, in one form or another. That’s our “democracy” and that’s why we are a declining empire.

I think it will pass bipartisan. Democrats will make McCarthy look like a fool. The senate same way. Need 60 total with majority being democrats. What a way to run the country. Ugh.

There cannot be a global government until America falls financially.

This is a battle between one world government and a free economy.

Yellen is Lying about Defaulting on June 1
by Heresy Financial
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JpJM-hHtRE&ab_channel=HeresyFinancial

What if I were to tell you that no matter what, the United States will not be defaulting on its debt come June 1st? What if I were to tell you that this meant Janet Yellen has been lying about Congress needing to raise the debt ceiling or else we would default? What if I were to tell you that no matter what, the United States will continue making payments on its debt regardless of whether the debt ceiling is raised or not?

And most importantly, what if? this outcome of not raising the debt ceiling and continuing to make the debt payments is the best possible outcome for our nation. Considering all the recent news about America defaulting on its debt and how everybody is focusing on the talks about raising the debt ceiling, you may be surprised to hear that none of that is true.

It is all just smoke and mirrors. And I am going to show you why.

At this point, the two roads, NWO or individual freedom/liberty BOTH REQUIRE America falling financially.

The difference, financially, is what rises from the ashes. For NWO, it is CBDC, CCP-style. For liberty, it is BRICS+++ or BRICS-like PM-backed financial system (QFS/ISO20022).

It literally is a battle for the World.

Just look at MTG with her new makeover and wardrobe. Those committee spots are where the money is. Guess she got sick of watching others like AOC get rich quick and decided to get her some of that easy money.

As predicted, the debt ceiling is raised, both sides claim victory and America loses.

Typical BS.

100%. I’ve watched this game long enough to trust nearly no one and basically believe nothing that comes from Washington. Observing their system has made me the ultimate cynic, and it serves me well.

This can not continue. They HAVE to drastically cut spending, we ALL have to face the conseqeuences of that or it is going to be absolutely horrible later. People here have no idea of what it has been like in Argentina since the Faulklands war, no idea. How stupid to continue with fiscal irresponsibility. It IS now or never.

They've already worked out the numbers, and the travesty will pass.

This is how members from deep red regions will be allowed to vote against it while it still passes, hence not losing face with their voters.

How could a 61-year-old with $200,000 of Treasury bonds tolerate living on $10,000 worth of interest?

He might get shock from eating hamburger again or from living in a house heated to 72 degrees in January.

It’s best to save him from such misfortune by handing out $10,000 student loan forgiveness to a nurse making $90,000/year.
