While inflation has come down slightly since record highs last year, nearly half of American voters feel President Biden's policies are hurting them and 83% of voters feel the economy is "only fair/poor." On "America's Newsroom" on Friday, Forbes Media chairman Steve Forbes argued that the state of the economy will cost President Biden the 2024 Democratic nomination.
STEVE FORBES: I think what's happening with the economy, even though it's not officially in a recession, it's sort of the economic equivalent of walking pneumonia. Not enough to put you in bed yet, but just dragging you down, draining the energy. I think there is economy fatigue, one thing after another. So, inflation has come down a little bit. Prices are still going up. Wages aren't going up fast enough. There's a feeling the country is adrift. These whole negotiations on the debt ceiling, my goodness! They can't control spending even though it's $2 trillion higher than it was a couple of years ago. People just throw up their hands and say these people are out of control.
And I think that's why next year Joe Biden will not be the Democratic Party nominee … Because the economy - yeah, they can sweep the Hunter stuff away - but that has a stench out there. So you have a poor economy, you have a president people feel is not up to the job anymore, certainly not for the next four years. So I don't know what the scenario is going to be, but they cannot have him running in November of 2024.
Inflation rose again in April despite an aggressive interest-rate hike campaign by the Federal Reserve, indicating that strong underlying price pressures are still bubbling beneath the surface of the economy - and continuing to burden millions of Americans.

Hillary just said, “that age is a factor.” She still wants to be President.
“Hey Joe, were you going with Hillary’s knife in your back.”
Biden: “Who is Hillary? I get ice cream and pudding on Friday. Is it Friday yet?”
I’d say in a normal situation he would be right , but with “mail in ballots” I don’t think it matters
From running?
Ole Joe can hardly amble across the stage, stumble on stairs.
Without a swift pandemic, the Dems might have problems with Ole Joe campaigning from his basement. They might try issuing old tapes/videos and claim they are new.
Of course, Dems know even more about how to cheat. Who would be surprised if Ole Joe gets 130-150% of the vote in strategic precincts?
It will be unbelievably hard to beat the partnership of the corrupt government and democrats. One thing is different this time. People have experienced 4 years living under corrupt Biden’s failed policies. It won’t be as easy to fool the people this time. Biden is still and old fool but he isn’t the harmless old man they made him out to be. He’s a human wrecking ball who is corrupt to his core.
It used to be that people voted based on their pocketbooks.
Recall that economy was in the tank as Obama headed for reelection. Gas and grocery prices were way up. He still won, even against that barnstormer Romney {snicker}.
Biden knows how to play the game and he does not want to leave. In a way, he can't leave because being President is the only thing between standing between the Biden Crime family and prosecution.
Poor Steve Forbes. He doesn’t understand that what the Deep States wants, the Deep State gets.
Biden was chosen in 2020 solely because of his name recognition. The DS needed someone to sweep aside the goofballs (Sanders, Warren, Buttigieg) in the primaries, and then defeat Trump in the general election.
If the DS needs Biden again, then he will run again. And he’ll probably win (see my tagline).
Why not? He ran in 2020. Biden will be the nominee unless Hillary somehow maneuvers her way in.
Look at that thing PA sent to the Senate in 2022!
The Dems have cheating down to a fine art form now, thanks to RINOs looking the other way as long as MAGA loses.
Nothing changed in 2022 (just ask Kari Lake).
Why shouldn't Dementia Joe win again even though he'll stay in the basement?
I wonder if Governor Hair Gel and his supporters could be able to push Heels Up to the side.
My prediction: A mysterious ailment comes up and the Democrat National Committee needs to come up with another nominee ‘fast’. Hillary’s a known quantity. The campaign will be condensed to where even she can make it through.
Trump needs to make that charge to keep it from happening. Their Plan B would not work with Kamala(unlikable) or Gavin(unknown).
Biden’s negatives are through the roof, even worse than Trump, which are also at record highs for a potential candidate. Fox News was even playing clips of CNN deadpanning Biden’s chances per this new poll that showed ~65% believe a second Biden term would be bad for the country.
So they will probably take Biden out, using the classified documents scandal if necessary. And they will NOT want to replace him with another, old person with high negatives, like Hillary.
It doesn’t take much contemplation to realize they need a younger person with low negatives to come save the day, including them supposedly making some sort of sacrifice to take the responsibility on.
Kamala is young, but has high negatives.
Michelle Obama does not. It would be spun as her making a personal sacrifice for the good of the country.
That’s were I would put my money.
Am watching this with great amusement.
They got RFK jr censored and he is still within range of knocking off that useless piece of skin.
I heard the far left freakshow are going to run Mooch Obammy and Opie Wimpie. And everyone is going to get a free Cadillac Escalade from Opie Wimpie.
They will run on:
Soros will guarantee 130,000,000 votes for their ticket...
If they get in trouble, they can always do a “Frank Lautenberg” swap.
Duh.
Duh.
Gavin Newsom here we come.
