Steve Forbes says Joe Biden will not be the Democratic nominee: 'They cannot have him running'

While inflation has come down slightly since record highs last year, nearly half of American voters feel President Biden's policies are hurting them and 83% of voters feel the economy is "only fair/poor." On "America's Newsroom" on Friday, Forbes Media chairman Steve Forbes argued that the state of the economy will cost President Biden the 2024 Democratic nomination.

STEVE FORBES: I think what's happening with the economy, even though it's not officially in a recession, it's sort of the economic equivalent of walking pneumonia. Not enough to put you in bed yet, but just dragging you down, draining the energy. I think there is economy fatigue, one thing after another. So, inflation has come down a little bit. Prices are still going up. Wages aren't going up fast enough. There's a feeling the country is adrift. These whole negotiations on the debt ceiling, my goodness! They can't control spending even though it's $2 trillion higher than it was a couple of years ago. People just throw up their hands and say these people are out of control.

And I think that's why next year Joe Biden will not be the Democratic Party nominee … Because the economy - yeah, they can sweep the Hunter stuff away - but that has a stench out there. So you have a poor economy, you have a president people feel is not up to the job anymore, certainly not for the next four years. So I don't know what the scenario is going to be, but they cannot have him running in November of 2024.

Inflation rose again in April despite an aggressive interest-rate hike campaign by the Federal Reserve, indicating that strong underlying price pressures are still bubbling beneath the surface of the economy - and continuing to burden millions of Americans.

Not sure they have much choice.

To be fair, if he had to run an actual campaign in 2020 he’d never have won.

I agree, too. I just don’t see how he can physically hold up to the stress and demands of the primaries. Kennedy and Williamson will be nipping at his heels, highlighting his disengagement. Convincing rat voters who are only partially instance, inching up in the polls.
His dementia, of course, is progressive. I just don’t see him physically holding out long enough to lock up the nomination approx ten months from now

The democrats are committed to destroying the country, and the best candidate they have to do it with, is Biden. Biden can’t do anything, and is helpless and completely clueless, but that’s precisely what they need, a puppet.

My understanding is that a recession is where two quarters growth is negative. The problem is with high inflation, you have to have large real growth decrease to have a negative overall growth.

The Chinese government simply issue devaluation edicts of their currency when desired.

Our government prints money, forcing inflation, adamantly refuses to admit the economy is doing poorly, and insists that it’s doing great.

Steve Forbes says Joe Biden will not be the Democratic nominee: 'They cannot have him running'

Who is "they"? The only "they" that will decide whether Biden runs or not is the gaggle of people who currently use Senile Joe as their sock puppet - I assume that includes his wife and some senior administration officials. Those folks will not hold nearly as much sway in a Democrat administration with a president who isn't suffering from dementia. I expect Biden to be the Democrat nominee.

I think the Democrats prefer a puppet signing on to the decisions made by a shadowy cabal than someone who they can’t totally control like Robert F. Kennedy jr. or Joe Manchin.

Hence Joe Biden’s mental abilities are not a concern and are in fact AN ADVANTAGE to them.

Their control of the voting system in battleground states and support from the mainstream media plus our corrupt intelligence organizations will do the rest ( as proven in 2020 and 2022 ).

If corrupt Biden runs he will be at 25% approval rate by 2024. Whoever the democrats run will have corrupt Biden’s record hanging around his neck like a gigantic anchor. I don’t know if the cheaters could drag Biden over the finish line again. After 4 years of misery and failure on every front the people won’t be fooled by the old man again.

I actually donated money to Steve Forbes when he ran for President. Was that 1996?

Since childhood, I have been a heart and soul free enterprise capitalist.

Then, in 2014, the Forbes family sold 51% of Forbes Magazine to a Hong Kong company that is associated with the Chinese Communist Party!

I don't see the problem. Just hide him in his basement, don't let him address the press, have rallies, give statements.

No different than last time.

No different than every day since his name became (P)resident.

Hint: He's not all there. Hasn't been since he before he ran last time. It's why he can be controlled so easily.
