Actually, LilOlLady “must not be a Christian giving herself away for all to see.”
She struggles. We will not condemn her.
The long-time Russian troll propagandist just continue their posturing and incessant babbling.
Word to the wise: I recommend ignoring ludicrous statements by the praise Putin, anti-U.S., promote ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ troll squad.
You know who they. :) Their continued posturing contributes nothing positive.
WHY ARE THEY HERE?
Their comments CONTINUALLY disrespect Jim Robinson while ignoring his FREE REPUBLIC GUIDELINES:
1- Use common courtesy when posting.
2- Do not post insults or personal attacks against your fellow FReepers.
3- Do not engage in flame-wars or feuds. If you find yourself falling into one, disengage immediately and move on.
4- Do not badger other Freepers.
5- Do not demand an answer.
6- Do not enter onto a thread on a topic you don’t like just to disrupt, rattle cages, poke sticks, insult the regulars, or engage in trolling activities, etc.
7- If someone says stop, stop.
‘Nuff said :)
I think some of the perception of anti-Americanism stems from a confusion of patriotism, which I define as loyalty to the Constitutional Republic) with support for what is essentially the advancement and defence of the Deep State’s Empire (usually (misidentified as “democracy”).
What we have become is not what we were intended to be and bears little resemblance to the founders’ dreams. On this I imagine we agree. I don’t like to think of this present catastrophe in terms of winners and losers, but I do find myself unable to cheerlead what we have become, especially when the effects of it are measured in body counts. Perhaps I’m too idealistic or just old-fashioned. In any case, one positive result of all the chaos and confusion is that it stimulates my longing that His Kingdom would come into it’s full expression. Towards it is a true patriotism that’s unalloyed with reservation and anxiety.
I’m not “for” the war taking place. I would love for Trump to return and end it.
In the meantime we’re sick with a Democrat administration and a land war in Europe launched by Russia.
Everyone expected Russia to win in two weeks. The ongoing war is a tribute to Russian incompetence and Ukrainian pride in their country.
As for fighting with some on here, I regret it, but some of their pro Russian and anti American rhetoric is so over the top, I feel it is a patriotic duty to respond.
As for His Kingdom returning on Earth, well we can’t know the time.
You & lin have got Vloddy skin up your posteriors...
I remember that Freeper back then too, posted a lot of pictures and notes from there. Perhaps the whole stay there was a learning and realization experience about why were there, how we got there and what staying there cost us in terms of blood and treasure.
I know that my own time during Viet Nam was felt differently then than I do feel about it now. Were it not for SEATO, we should never have even been there.
It was nice, having “our man in ______” reporting back to FR. Wish we had more, in various locations around our country and the globe.
I remember watching a 1958 graduation class of U.S. Marines, and you could still feel the war.
I remember grace.
That FReeper is still here. 😏
I sincerely thank for your service in Vietnam.
One of the missions I was on was with CPATT - Ministry of Interior Transition Team. One of the things we worked on was teaching the Iraqis to spend their own budget properly. They’d had a huge surplus the previous year because they had *our* money coming in.
We got them spending *their* money. I wanted to see us stop giving them all of those billions and I like to think I played a tiny part in that.
And at least what we did send was closely monitored. There were a lot of cost and budget analysts on the ground and auditors were regularly pulling records and asking a lot of questions.
