I think some of the perception of anti-Americanism stems from a confusion of patriotism, which I define as loyalty to the Constitutional Republic) with support for what is essentially the advancement and defence of the Deep State’s Empire (usually (misidentified as “democracy”).
What we have become is not what we were intended to be and bears little resemblance to the founders’ dreams. On this I imagine we agree. I don’t like to think of this present catastrophe in terms of winners and losers, but I do find myself unable to cheerlead what we have become, especially when the effects of it are measured in body counts. Perhaps I’m too idealistic or just old-fashioned. In any case, one positive result of all the chaos and confusion is that it stimulates my longing that His Kingdom would come into it’s full expression. Towards it is a true patriotism that’s unalloyed with reservation and anxiety.
I’m not “for” the war taking place. I would love for Trump to return and end it.
In the meantime we’re sick with a Democrat administration and a land war in Europe launched by Russia.
Everyone expected Russia to win in two weeks. The ongoing war is a tribute to Russian incompetence and Ukrainian pride in their country.
As for fighting with some on here, I regret it, but some of their pro Russian and anti American rhetoric is so over the top, I feel it is a patriotic duty to respond.
As for His Kingdom returning on Earth, well we can’t know the time.
