Sorry man. Grandpas had to work way harder than us. And women are very vulnerable due to their physical weakness, tendency to get pregnant, and bonding to their born children that many men seem to avoid. They need a man who can provide for them and the kids.
My whole point was that the people in Eastern Europe were raised in an environment similar to my childhood, and if you choose wisely you can have a good life. You just have to focus on looking for the cup of a carpenter, and ignore the shiny stuff.

If it was child support, it would be a fixed rate regardless of the father's income. As it stands, the State runs the scam of ex-wife or ex-girlfriend support masquerading as support for the child, because the State gets their cut.
As for custody, a father should have equal custody of their children and child support split 50/50 which means neither pays the other.
