Adidas has sparked calls for a boycott after launching a new range of women's swimwear using what appears to be a man as the model.
The company was accused of 'erasing women' and is the latest target of conservative anger over 'woke' marketing, after Bud Light saw sales drop last month following outrage over its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
The swimsuit range is part of Adidas's 'Pride 2023' collection, and is for sale on the website in the women's section.
However, the model showing off the swimwear has a hairy chest and a bulge in the crotch area. It's not stated whether the model identifies as a man or as trans.
The swimsuit was created by South African designer Rich Mnisi and released to honour Pride Month. Adidas have said the swim suit is 'a celebration of self-expression, imagination and the unwavering belief that love unites'.
The choice of the model for the swimwear caused outrage on social media.
A 'BoycottAdidas' hashtag has begun trending and high-profile athletes have hit out at the company.
'Women's swimsuits aren't accessorized with a bulge,' U.S. swim star turned women's rights activist Riley Gaines tweeted.
'I don't understand why companies are voluntarily doing this to themselves. They could have at least said the suit is "unisex", but they didn't because it's about erasing women.'
Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene also hit out at Adidas, asking: 'Who is telling these major corporations to alienate women, half the population, in order to market to trans which are less than 1%?
'Businesses are for profit, not for politics. It doesn’t make sense. Who is telling them to do this?'
South Carolina representative Nancy Mace said: 'I'm old enough to remember when women actually modeled women's bathing suits, not men.'

BARF ALERT
This is all extremely weird. Doesn’t make sense, but they keep doing it.
I’m going to take a wild guess that the executive who approved or thought up this idea has an MBA from an Ivy League school. It’s all part of the Ivy League not actually living up to its reputation of producing leadership for this country.
They are trying to make us get used to it. The more they cram it down our throats the more we barf it up
This Thread Is Better-Off Without Pictures.
Are they trying to increase or decrease sales?
It’s a win win for the left: either it becomes the norm and we define down deviancy or a major American institution is brought to financial ruin.
This is all planned folks.
I bought a pair of trail walking shoes from my local camping store. It cost me about 5 times as much, but it has lasted about 6 times as long.
Just a thought.
Yes it is planned. They aren’t all coming out like this at once as mere happenstance.
Regrettably I agree fully
“Women’s swimsuits aren’t accessorized with a bulge.” —Riley Gaines
In a sane world, Riley Gaines would have been named Woman of the Decade by now.
Did y’all see where Meghan Markle got awarded some kind of super-duper woman prize by none other than Gloria Steinem? And not ONE WORD was directed to this most pertinent issue facing women today.
can’t wait for this trans fad to be over.
It’s either a man with a package or one gigantic camel toe
I’ve reverted entirely to a pre-1970 view —
Homosexuals are mentally ill. All varieties. Transgenders, Transvestites, gay, lesbian. All of them. They should be kept away from children. They should not be hired as teachers. They should be shunned and encouraged to get psychotherapy so that they can be fixed. Clearly, their nature is changeable, and their chosen homosexual lifestyle is a mistake and they ought to work to become normal. Until they become normal heterosexuals, I want nothing to do with any of them. They are sick in the head. All of them.
OMG! Revelation 9:9 straight on describes that trans demon.
Business is practical...reality-based. When you screw up, you lose money. When you lose enough money, you go out of business.
As an aside, unlike education, government, religion, philosophy, art, etc., business is hard because your mistakes keep bubbling up to the surface. And when they see a mistake in your product or service, customers aren't shy about going to your competitor.
Long story, short, this is a good thing. Bud Light, Miller Lite, Disney, CNN, and now Adidas are signaling the end of the road for the Woke Movement.
The Wokesters are finally hearing the word "NO."
” …and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.”
Except that pic you posted?
He has a crown of crap legs, face of a woman, hair of a party city wig, and teeth like a vampire.
