Martha Stewart has made history as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s oldest cover model, an achievement the 81 year old described as “kind of historic”.

The businesswoman has been chosen as one of four cover models to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s annual Swimsuit Issue, joining Megan Fox, Kim Petras, and Brooks Nader.

Speaking to SI about her cover model status, Stewart said she doesn’t often think about age, but that she was impressed by her feat.

“When I heard that I was going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I thought, ‘Oh, that’s pretty good, I’m going to be the oldest person I think ever on a cover of Sports Illustrated,’” Stewart said. “And I don’t think about age very much, but I thought that this is kind of historic.”

As for why she decided to participate in the shoot, the cookbook author said she wanted to prove that age doesn’t matter when it comes to things such as “friendship or in terms of success”. Rather, Stewart said what’s important is “what people do, how people think, how people act”.

“Age is not the determining factor in terms of friendship or in terms of success, but what people do, how people think, how people act, that’s what’s important and not your age,” she explained.

Martha Stewart looks really good for her age.

She can be my pin-up girl if nobody else wants her.

In the name of equity, why stop there. Maybe a 90 year old in an ICU should be next year's.

She looks fine. Good for her. I've had sympathy for her ever since she was railroaded and sent to stir for a bogus "insider trading" charge. Total BS, and it was a piddly amount of money anyway, about 20K.

No one stole anything. No funds were misused. But Hunter Biden can wheel and deal with ChiComs, drug dealers, and Zelinsky. Not a problem.

Next up: morbidly obese women and biological sex denying males. There is constant pressure from the left to mainstream poor health choices and to create new protective classes that require dependency.

So many people on this thread miss that point.

It is part and parcel of the desconstruction of this society.

Sports Illustrated (sports in general) are “holdovers” from a society run by “toxic males” so anything to destroy or diminish those things is fair game for the Left.

When an entity tries to manipulate individuals into a groupthink such as defining beauty, defining weight boundaries, redefining sexual boundaries to force individuals to accept what “normal” is in these various facets of society instead of allowing them to think for themselve, then we are in trouble.

The war on competency has been in full swing for many years with governmental (and non-governmental) support.

We are in trouble.

It isn’t a small thing that doesn’t count. It is meaningful. This is just one small battle the Left fights on many fronts. I liken it to both a one-way ratchet in that the ground they gain is rarely recovered, or a single person inspecting a dike that holds out the ocean. That one person has eyes to see leaks, a voice to call for help, and fingers and toes to plug the leaks in the dike. But they are only one person, a real minority.

Conservatives are manning the ramparts, keeping watch into the darkness of the wide ocean, inspecting the dike, looking for breaches or damage, constantly on guard, always trying to be vigilant.

The Left is like the ocean, timeless, relentless, constantly pressuring against the other side of the dike, looking for holes and weaknesses. Probing, pushing, looking to breach the fabric of society in places it won’t be immediately seen, and when it is, will be too late to do anything about it.
