Trump vs. DeSantis 2024
None | 5/13/2023 | Ebshumidors

Posted on 05/13/2023 7:41:16 PM PDT by ebshumidors

I’ve been watching the Trump vs. DeSantis showdown here and have a few questions. I voted for Trump twice, worked the phones and poll watched for him and am convinced he was the only one for regular Americans. He had the right policies for us. I have two concerns. He is supposedly a germaphobe and I think that influenced his decisions regarding Covid. He also didn’t have a team behind him. Many stabbed him in the back. How would it be different if he was elected for another term?

Regarding Desantis, I watched some of his Iowa stuff and he seems to say the right things. He may even be to the right of Trump on some issues. He also seems to have a good argument about what he’s done in Florida. He doesn’t have Trump’s suburban housewife baggage (who my wife of 31 yrs asked how many times Trump’s been married - she voted for him and we’re not voting for a Pope) but I’m sure they’ll come up with something to hang on him. I know that many have said that he’s beholden to big donors.

I’m on team fight it out for the nomination, After that, I’m on team how do you fix the rig and how do you win I haven’t heard any of that from anyone.

DeSantis will get the #MAGA vote. The “Only Trump” crowd is a small coterie. Most people want the best candidate who can win. Other than the Laura Loomer types and a few others, MAGA will vote for DeSantis.

They’ve done major election cleanup and reform in Florida. DeSantis hs taken the issue head on while Trump has complained about it.

Trump’s complaining instead of trying to fix it cost us three runoffs for Senate in Georgia. And thus the Senate was lost.

So, why would DeSantis run? He’s being paid off by the GOP establishment.

You Trump Only folks just don’t get it. DeSantis is a viable second option if Trump’s big mouth and bigger ego eliminates him from consideration.

DeSantis is a viable second option if crooked judges and DA’s in New York, Georgia and elsewhere are successful in jailing him or at least ruining his chances next year. DeSantis is a viable second option if the FBI comes up with a successful scheme to eliminate him. They succeeded in 2020. They will surely try again.

And if Trump is out of contention, then what? You want Pence? Nikki? That Hutchinson fool from Arkansas?

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Keep an open mind about RDS.

DeSantis does not have a chance of winning.

DeSamtis is running because the Bushies want him to split enough votes to keep Trump from becoming president again.

And they have good reasons for stopping him.

So how does Trump address the rigged election and who he brings in to get his agenda done? Answer these things and I’ll be a fanboy. Winning is everything. Reagan brought in his CA team. Think it through..

One of the major factors in Trump’s 2016 victory was his appeal to independents and even Democrats across the Rust Belt. I can tell you with near certainty that an establishment Republican like DeSantis is simply not going to attract much support from that critical voter demographic.

So Ronald Herbert Walker DeSantis fixed it in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Arizona, etc?

Are you kidding? My mailbox is being carpet bombed with DeSantis mailers here in New Hampshire the past few weeks - and he hasn’t even declared yet!

Think of all the “assorted morons” you mentioned there that polluted the upper ranks of the executive branch during Trump’s term in office.

How many of them would NOT be a contender for the same role in a DeSantis administration?

My answer: They would all be hired by RDS.

Actually I’m sick of us being sensitive and offended and using as a sledgehammer every time someone uses a group “slur”. Yet personal direct attacks are just fine. Why is it ok to insult a person directly but not ok to use “group slurs”?

Off my soapbox.

I don’t like any of the public name-calling. But I have never liked the hypocrisy on how horrible it is to use some group pejorative, but perfectly fine to bully someone personally with direct slurs about them themselves.

Again, Trump should keep the mouth shut when it comes to loose-cannon comments about people and making childish remarks about them. It’s unprofessional never mind just plain impolite.

You’re asking the right questions. There are many intellectual pygmies who cannot stand to hear a word against Trump, or ponder what you ask.

This isn’t an answer but it’s worth thinking about: If Democrats have such solid control over the election mechanism that they can rig the outcome, why are they working so hard to keep Trump from even getting the nomination?

The bigger question in 2024 — as it was in 2016 — would be this: Who would even want to work in a Trump administration?

I am not sure he wins. That’s the $64,000 question isn’t it? His polls look good. But sometimes polls are accurate and sometimes not. I don’t know how to tell.

I am not sure DeSantis wins either. Both men should be a cakewalk in any sane nation. But we are nuts.

You’re wrong. He is exactly the kind of candidate who can. He’s fought for our principles and he’s proven successful at it.

He’s MAGA and effective. He does it quietly most of the time.

Which candidate sided with Disney and Bud Light? Which candidate endorsed Ronna Romney McDaniel for RNC Chair? (And which one endorsed Harmeet Dhillon?) Which one promotes vaccines? Which one is endorsed by RINOS like Lindsey Graham and Mike Huckabee?

The Establishment fears a DeSantis presidency because they know he’s conservative, effective, and tough. And he doesn’t back down.

Flyers are one thing. A very minor campaign expense. (Probably from an unrelated PAC.) DeSantis really hasn’t started to advertise yet.

believe me there are MANY, MANY who WILL NOT vote anything but Trump

Oh we believe you. We know you'd be happier with Biden returning to office than to have DeSantis win.

Look. The Deep State won in 2020. They conspired to steal the election and keep Trump out. And they will do it again in 2024.

Especially with the help of people like you who want Trump or nothing. And of course if they get to Trump and take him out of the running, you will set home and not vote.

And Biden/Harris will easily win.

How would it be different if he was elected for another term?

If it would be no different, why are the Communist, deep state, entrenched corrupt ruling class and their leftist media trying so damn hard to stop Trump any way possible?

MAGA voters aren’t on the side of ‘fight out the nomination.’

A stolen election kept incumbent Trump from serving his 2nd term. MAGA believes that.

Trump has incumbent status to millions of MAGA voters.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I fully agree with every word. The man deserves to get the vote of every person who voted for him in 2016, and every other person who now sees the horrible consequences of that stolen election.

Trump: DeSantis is a terrible governor who is wrecking Florida and he wouldn’t have been governor except for me.

Trump supporters: DeSantis is Establishment, owned by Paul Ryan and the Bushes, and he ought to wait and lead the MAGA movement in 2028. Unless he wants to be VP.

7. I won't support any presidential candidate whose home hasn't been raided by the Democrat Gestapo, and who hasn't been prosecuted by a Democrat sh!t-bag prosecutor in a Democrat sh!t-hole jurisdiction.

Ha!
