I have been in the Australian outback in a Range Rover that could not catch up with one of these large, flightless birds.
It is no easy thing to run down such a speedy BIG animal like this. Also, they can kick the hell out of anybody who tries to grab one.
This bird might be killed or tranquilized with a rifle but it will be no easy task to catch one or even get a good shot at it.

My son worked on a farm with 2 of them. They made good guard animals for the chickens because they thought they were just a big chicken.

Ever tough an emu? You can feel its emu oil all over its feathers. Emu oil penetrates the skin better than any other substance and is highly effective for treating burns which is why ever household should have a bottle of it. I use it whenever I get burned while cooking. Unbelievably effective.
