Friends of a schoolgirl who died suddenly just days after winning a football match have raised thousands for her grieving family.
'Talented young footballer' Kaylee Black, 13, who was a goalkeeper for the U13s Belfast football club Crusaders, died on Monday.
Family and friends have raised more than £8,000 following her death.
The GoFundMe page also paid tribute to the 'young, beautiful girl' whose death 'has left a massive space in the hearts of her family'.
Meanwhile the club she played for, the Crusaders said they were 'devastated' in a statement issued following the youngster's death.
Club chairman, Ronnie Millar, paid tribute to the young goalkeeper who had been having fun with her teammates as recently as last week.
A statement on the club's social media pages said: 'Crusaders Football Club are devastated to hear of the sad and sudden passing of Crusaders Titans U13's player Kaylee Black.
'Only last week Kaylee and her team mates proudly showed off their U13 SBYL Trophy at the Crusaders Strikers first game of the season and to hear the news this evening has been heartbreaking.
'Chairman Ronnie Millar wishes to pass on the deepest condolences and sympathy to Kaylee's family, team mates, friends and coaching staff at this sad time and asks we keep them all in our thoughts and prayers as they come to terms with Kaylee's passing.'
Crusaders Strikers said in a statement they were 'deeply saddened' to learn of Kaylee's sudden passing.
'Kaylee was goalkeeper and a valued member of our U13 SBYL league winning side, who lifted their trophy last week at our first team game at Seaview,' a statement read.
'Our thoughts, and prayers are with her family, friends, teammates, coaches and everyone who loved her during this sad time.'

Sad. Very sad. Cute little thing likely struck down by the shot. IMO, parents should be hung out to dry, if it was the shot, for likely encouraging it. When Covid was a “thing”, kids this age were virtually 100% likely to recover. The flu for crying out loud.

Yep. Just as I suspected. Obviously an overweight girl with apparent medical problems. I suspect her parents expected her to expire on any day and feel blessed that they had her with them as long as they did. Deaths of teens with such comorbidities is expected and normal in this day and age.
Someone explained to me at another site that these sudden teen deaths are probably children who weren’t expected to live at birth but did so due to the miracles of modern medicine and therefore their parents should be pleased that tax-payers kept them alive for so many years. The person further stated that such a child would continue to be tax-payer burden long after her parent care-givers were gone so it was actually a blessing that they passed away from an obvious undetected Covid infection.
I kid you not! The person actually believed the b.s. they were spouting. (The person was also a proponent of abortion up to and immediately after birth if a child was an inconvenient burden on a women and her career. Especially in an instance in which she had just received a wonderful job offer in another state but the child would be a hindrance should she accept the offer).

So SICK of hearing all the same words over and over about the loss of a child and the total avoidance of any discussion of the cause.

Their explanation is that everyone now gets a trophy and is considered “athletic”.
Their logic on the issue was so convoluted I finally abandoned the discussion.
It’s much like trying to explain to a Democrat Russia/Trump collusion-believer that the entire story isn’t true. They are too invested in the scam that you can’t convince them otherwise.
I wonder what they will do when the day comes when their doctor asks them how many of the vaxseems they got and tells them they need a whole bunch of screening tests for vax damage.
