Obviously the planet's population ignored the risks of gas stoves, animal farms, commercial airplanes (private jets ok), and failed to implement Equity, Social, and Gender equality initiatives. They had it coming.
Now they are going into the real Diversity. Equity, and Inclusion, grinder. Right past the gooey cellular level and into a gaseous state. And yes.....Carbon Dioxide traces.

So the universe recycles, right? It’s just a very long time between galactic curbside collection periods.

Didn’t the original Star Trek have an episode like that? As I recall, it was shaped like a giant bugle. They disabled it by setting a crippled starship to explode when it got deep into its throat.

Thank God were not going to use gas stoves or plastic straws now. Thank God the climate scientists know how to deal with this.
I feel safer eating bugs and suffering for future generations who won’t even have electricity or bugs to eat.
