Maybe good a old lard might be the best after all.

Coconut oil, lard, butter and olive oil. Nut oils are ok but pricey.
The other oils are iffy.
Just go on the principle that if you can make it in your kitchen (not do but CAN) it is food. Everything else is questionable.

Tehran Medical Sciences? Seriously! Personally, almost all my oil is olive oil with proven health benefits. I've avoided soy products for a long time but nattokinase comes from fermented soy. I won't be losing sleep over this study, though.

I’ve been traveling the last few weeks to places that have lots of teenagers. “Soy boyz” are everywhere. It’s really sad.

I first read about Canola Oil being linked to Macular Degeneration back in 2000.

I am trying to buy and use only olive oil, and extra light virgin olive oil for baking....

I save every delicious drop of bacon grease! I don’t bake as much as I used to, (gone low carb) so I’ve had the same bottle of Canola oil for probably a year.
I have a good recipe for oatmeal-based muffins that use no oil, if anyone is interested.

I tend to group that under lard.
But it is really good for frying potatoes.

People who consume seed oils have excess omega 6 fats.
Seed oils are more than 50% omega 6 fats. Most foods are less than 5% omega 6 fats.
People started making seed oils in the 20th century. Before that, all foods were less than 20% omega 6 fats, so it was impossible to consume the amount of omega 6 fats people consume today.
Omega 6 fats make people fat and cause cancer. People of each generation have more omega 6 fats in their bodies.

seed oils are indeed bad news ... stick with olive and avocado oil, butter and/or homemade lard and/or homemade beef tallow ...
