I found myself, like many on this forum, unable to sleep soundly last night. I awoke hours earlier than my usual 4:30 and read several postings on the firing of Tucker Carlson.
Unable to go back to sleep, I poured a coffee, and went to the premium YouTube channel (i.e. commercial free and the best informational outlet, next to FR, on TV), and watched a few videos on anti-aging, and the latest endeavors of our little Mars Helicopter.
Eventually, I came across Bill O'Reilly's piece on what happened to Tucker.
BOR, says that the Tucker team were taken by surprise. While they were in the middle of working on Monday night's show, basically a rebuttal of the ridiculous 60 Minutes propaganda on Ray Epps, Carlson was called into the office and told he was fired.
I urge fellow readers here to go to the BOR commentary for some other insight.
Tucker's (and Don Bongino's too) firing leaves me pretty empty. I think I speak for many people here, when I say I left Fox the day after the 2020 Election completely. I refused to watch even 10 seconds of the Network, but
then about 6-8 months later, I slowly returned to Tucker Carlson, to the point that I would watch the show live, or the next day via Youtube or other venue.
He had 4 million viewers. His show was aimed at people like us here.
He exposed things that obviously was uncomfortable for the Fox board, (that includes people like Paul Ryan).
He exposed Fauci, Big Pharma, our media and on and on.
So they silenced him.
In my anxiety caused by his leaving, I had the revelation, that what if Tucker returns, on a platform that allows him freer expression, with a wider audience.
Then it hit me.
THE BEST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN, WOULD BE THAT TUCKER CARLSON SIGNS ON WITH CNN!
I welcome your comments.
If he does that, I will listen to him.
Non-competes have been easily negated. There are many precedents and legal analyses. They are merely a cudgel to compel obedience in the absence of loyalty.
History will demonstrate my statement as true, particularly when he pops up somewhere. Hopefully he teams up with another/others in an all-new venture or to expand a current one.
(NDA is a different matter altogether)
He’s BEEN on CNN. Hello? McFly?
no more excuses
for not cutting cable tv
He’s been there.....................
No, I don’t think so. Jumping from one mockingbird media outlet to another is stupid. Let all these media giants die and wither on the vine. They’re all controlled, any truth and they fire you. To wit, Bongino and Carlson.
Why do you think Hannity is really such a wuss? It’s because he’s paid to be a wuss.
three cheers for Alberta’s Child
hip hip hooray!
hip hip hooray!
hip hip hooray!
so many do not realize that they are supporting the LEFTIST media when they pay their cable tv bill
those LEFTIST media channels get a cable subscriber fee whether you watch or not
you have to do more than not watch
you have to not pay them as well
I am not a lawyer.
However, my experience is that in order to enforce a Non-Compete Agreement, the former employer has to pay the former employee. Especially in California and Massachusetts.
BOR thinks the election was fair and honest. Just like Faux news and the rest of the controlled mainstream media.
That chart will look different next week. The green line will be down there with the red, blue, and yellow lines.
I also came across the BOR link this morning, very interesting. But on your comment for Carlson going to CNN, if he did, then it would mean he was lying to us all this time. I don’t think his “fan base” would be able to swallow that.
i'm sure Don Lemon and Tucker are having their lawyer, both have the same one, figure out what they can do and what they can't do.
this was a jailbreak
why would he voluntarily go back in
joe rogan averages 11 million views
Tucker could probably beat that
Does the FCC have any legitimate sway over cable communications? How about satellite?
Think of an NFL coach who gets fired with two years left on a contract that pays him $5M per year. If the team pays him the full $10M for the remainder of the contract, he’d have almost no leverage to get a non-compete arrangement overturned unless the contract specifically covered this scenario in his favor.
I think Elon Musk might like him to have a presence on Twitter. Twitter is starting to allow longer video segments for paying users.

He also has his own website where he hosts his videos

Mmmm... Andrea Tanteros....
Agreed. Coercion by $$.
I guess we shall see whether Tucker is truly principled.
