Wishing Bob well. With the loss of his wife now, and his best friend Don Rickles a couple years ago, survival must be a lonely time for him.
Yup- him, Tim Conway, red Skelton, many great commedians back in the day that didn’t have to use cheap foul language to garner laughs- they did it the hard way... by being funny
Before that, there was one where he plays a psychologist; I thought it was better:

Yes. I’m referring to his second sitcom about the hotel.
In the 1970’s, his first sitcom was The Bob Newhart Show. He played a psychologist, and his wife was played by Suzanne Pleshette.
In the 1980’s, his second sitcom was Newhart. He played an innkeeper, and his wife was played by Mary Frann.

It’s odd that Amazon is missing the final episode, which is considered a classic. And I just noticed Lisa Kudrow (from Friends) was in it.
My parents had that album too. My mom dug it up and played the driving school piece for me when I was learning how to drive.
R.I.P., Ginnie.
Bob Newhart had THE most hilarious final scenes to a TV series...and it was on a different TV series.
“The Bob Newhart Show” - original series
“Newhart” final scene returned to “The Bob Newhart Show”
In 2019, Bob revealed the secret to their decades-long marriage: laughter.
“I think laughter is vital. It's as vital as breathing. It gets you through difficult areas,” he told The Day that year. “Laughter is one of the most beautiful sounds in the world. It's like music, of a kind.”
The other day coincidentally I watched a YouTube of Bob and Rickles on the Phil Donohue Show. He asked them about their marriages and Bob replied "Do you notice that comedians most often have the longest marriages in show business?"
I hadn't thought of it before but their 60 years certainly bears his theory

Good stuff!
LOL My mom should have done that. She was the one who took me out and taught me to drive. My dad wasn't going to deal with that.
