Prominent DeSantis supporter: There was no excuse for Trump abdicating his presidency to Fauci

@johncardillo

There is no excuse for Trump abdicating his presidency to Fauci.

None whatsoever.

You can debate civil service laws on firing, but Trump had full control over who was invited to meetings, put on air, and whose advice to follow.

We didn’t elect Fauci. Trump coronated him.

It isn’t the truth at all

Trump relied on the so called expert in the room. It is what a leader does. Fauci had a different agenda. That’s not ztrump’s fault

I don’t know

Trump had no choice on Covid

It was a crazy uproar

It served its purpose

One thing he learned

Don’t trust the GOP

use them but never ever trust them

Because 1) he didn’t jump all over anybody. And 2) what Trump said about Kemp’s decision was that he disagreed with it because of the number deaths Georgia was still experiencing

Y’all need to take a breathe

Like it or not, the guy at the top gets the credit and the blame for a lot of things that he was not directly responsible for. You can complain about how the people under Trump were at fault but Trump still bears the responsibility. He has proven to be a poor judge of people, and he has to take the blame for everything one of his appointees did or allowed to happen, because he chose them. You guys give Trump credit for a lot of positive things that were not his doing, but want to absolve him of anything negative. That doesn’t work. You can’t have it both ways and neither can he. That is one of the things that turns me off most about Trump - he never accepts responsibility when he screws up, he just finds someone to attack and blame. Truman had a sign on his desk that said “the buck stops here.” He knew he was ultimately responsible for everything that happened in his administration. Trump seems to be a master of dodging the buck.

100% true. I would have advised Trump to play the game for two weeks. Then get rid of Fauci and expose the whole thing for what it was. There are other things I don’t want to say, because if a MIRACLE happens and Trump is elected again, (which will not happen because he bungled his first term and made it impossible for a repugnicant to EVER win again) I would hope he would do some of my outside the box tactics. But I am a fool sitting at home with no access, influence or power. If only...

He didn’t pick Fauci. Fauci was already in place. Had been for years

Trump refused to play ball like his predecessors and the DS scorched the earth just short of a JFK event.

President Trump signed every piece of garbage spending bill the DS put on his desk. Then offered to build the FIBBERS a new HQ.

Trump did NOT shut the country down.

Uh, yes he did.

Flashback to March 2020:

Government response updates: Trump issues stricter guidelines to stop virus spread

True. Trump is a germaphobe, and they knew his weak point. Even Obama refused to shut down when Fauci wanted him to do so over bird flu.

However, the really bad thing is that Trump has never said he was sorry, either for the shut down or the vaccine, or even admitted an error in judgment although he could easily blame it on Fauci/Birx, who have admitted to trying to trick him (and succeeding).

I remember when Trump came out and attacked the governors of Georgia, Texas and Florida for resisting the shutdown…and he’s never apologized for that either.

I’ve answered it several times

Trump jumped on no one. He stated his disagreement and his reasons. That’s no where near jumping. That’s a disagreement

He didn’t choose Fauci. He inherited him. Civil Service rules apply. No chance the ores could fit him
